Being An Average Sister

Just something I whipped up:)
Think of it this way. Their constant bugging, and endless talking. Remember on long car rides, the pushing and shoving in the backseat, and your mom looking back and yelling at you to shut up? The times when people make fun of her, and you get up all in their face, yelling only I can talk to her like that?

Or, when she was little, the attention that she got? Telling your mom to put her back? When you help throw your little sister's first surprise party and you feel so happy that you're part of this huge secret. And then by some weird mis-communication you blow it, and she knows, but being the great and annoying sister that she is she still pretends to be surprised. Remember? Remember? Remember when your family would go on walks, and you hold hand in cute little matching outfits, while skipping over puddles?

When she'd run to your room at night, when there's lightning outside her window. When both of you jump on your parent's bed on Mother's day, Or on Christmas, can't wait to open your presents. Or on Christmas Eve when you put the cookies and the milk out by the chimney, and looking in the morning, to see if they are gone, or if your parent's lied to you.

Then you get to that age, when Santa, the Tooth fairy, the Easter bunny, and Cupid are but remnants in the back of our minds. You think to yourself can't wait to leave, but once you do you take every chance to call them, hear the voices that you once despised, the sister you couldn't wait to move away from? But now the times gone, you now both have kids, husbands and successful jobs, and that weird girl that you always warned to stay away from your friends, is now your best friend, and loyal confidant :)
