Sitting behind the closed door…
She wanted to stay away from the world that she didn’t adore…
Crying and crying…
Just too tired of trying…
Left with nothing but just some tears…
Evicted by all her nears and dears…
Why me?
Occupied her mind…
Why are people so unkind?
Black was her hair…
With skin so fair…
She felt so numb and so low…
Something blocked the airflow…
She couldn’t see the world with her innocent eyes…
But she knew it was a world of disguise…
She thought to take a nap…
Felt so light, in her mother’s lap…
Slowly, she closed her eyes…
Bidding the world good-byes…
Within minutes the womb was entombed…
And the tummy was vacuumed…
Ahh! She took her last breath and sighed…
She was thrown at the roadside…
What was her fault?
What was her mistake?
Stop female infanticide for heaven’s sake..
