Beggar's Bowl

A rainy poem!
Clouds were growing frighteningly thick.
A big rain drop fell on that house of brick.
Loud thunder was deafening the ear.
It will take long for the sky to clear.
Lightening streaks were frightening the eye.
Loss of sight, it didn’t want to buy!
Those zigzag lines were seen off and on.
Violent wind and fiery breeze were suddenly gone.
Sound of heavy downpour was giving an eerie effect.
Mid noon turned darker than darkest night!
Clashing of clouds was causing nauseous fear.
It seemed as though end of the world was near!!!
Learning to swim was a tadpole in a puddle!
In its lessons, an urchin was trying to meddle.
Not very far, a street dog began to moan.
May be it needed a small piece of bone?
There was no sign for the rain to stop.
That lame beggar stepped out to hop.
He had least hope to get any alms.
For very long, empty were his palms.
Dejection was writ large on his face.
His eyes pleaded for rain god’s grace.
His prayers were answered very soon.
Hidden sky started to show carrying a bow!
The rainbow’s vibgyor was having a serene glow!
Heads popped out to see the beautiful band.
That beggar’s bowl started to dance in his weak hand!!!
