Long ago before I found you Lord
My heart was filled with ash and coal
Left behind by sin and guilt
Leaving me cold and alone

I never thought I'd feel that warmth again
That's when you came int my life
You showed me that you truly cared
By healing the hurt I felt inside

You gave me love to feed the flames
And now they burn for you so
At a point I thought I'd never feel again
You washed and made me whole

There's a fire burning deep within my heart
Which can't be extinguished or controlled
The flames burn higher in your presence Lord
They keep me warm when life grows cold

I'm glad you came here to be with me my Lord
And that you love me like you do
