Rump roast is nothing but the rear cut of meat, usually beef or veal. This cut meat comes from the hindquarters of these animals. It is very hard in texture and can be cooked in various manners. Ingredients
  • Ground cayenne pepper - ½ teaspoon
  • Celery salt - ½ teaspoon
  • Chili powder - 2 teaspoons
  • Garlic powder - ½ teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 tablespoon
  • Water - ½ cup
  • Rump roast - 1 (4 pound)
  • Mustard powder - ¼ teaspoon
  • Ground black pepper - 1 tablespoon
Directions

To prepare this beef round rump roast recipe, take a small bowl and combine black pepper, chili powder, celery salt, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper and mustard powder. Once you combine all these ingredients, rub this mixture to the meat surface. Then place the roast in a slow cooker and then add half cup of water to it. Cover the slow cooker and cook the meat for about 8 to 10 hours. Let the meat become tender and then transfer the roast to a serving plate. Remove the fat from the surface and strain the juices. Serve it with rice.

Ingredients
  • Cornstarch - 3 tablespoons
  • Italian seasoning - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic clove (finely chopped) - 1
  • Water - ¼ cup
  • Fresh whole mushrooms - 8 ounces
  • Green giant frozen cut green beans (thawed) - 1 cup
  • Medium onion (chopped) - 1
  • Bacon (chopped) - 2 slices
  • Ripe olives - ½ cup
  • Diced tomatoes (undrained) - 14½ ounces
  • Boneless beef rump roast - 3-5 lbs
Procedure

In a slow cooker, combine onion and tomatoes. Then place the rump roast in the slow cooker. In a small mixing bowl, add bacon, Italian seasoning and garlic. Combine the ingredients properly and rub this mixture over the beef. Cover the slow cooker and let the beef cook on low heat for 8 to 10 hours. Then remove the beef from the cooker. In another small bowl, combine cornstarch and water. Add this mixture to the tomato mixture and again place the beef in the slow cooker. Cut the mushrooms in half and place these cut mushrooms, olives and beans around the beef in the slow cooker. Increase the heat to high, cover the slow cooker and cook the beef for half an hour until the tomato mixture thickens completely and the vegetables becomes soft.

Ingredients
  • Water - ¾ cup
  • Soy sauce - 1/3 cup
  • Sugar - 2 tablespoons
  • Ground ginger - 1 teaspoon
  • Dried leaf thyme (crushed) - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic clove (minced) - 1
  • Boneless rump roast - 1 (about 3 pounds)
Procedure

This is a boneless recipe. In a medium-sized bowl combine water, soy sauce, ginger, sugar, thyme and garlic. After combining these ingredients, pour the mixture into a large seal-able food storage bag. Then, place the rump roast into the bag. Close the bag and turn it so that the rump roast gets covered with the mixture completely. Seal the bag and keep it in the refrigerator for minimum 4 hours or overnight. You may turn the bag occasionally. After 4 hours, remove the rump roast from the bag and keep the marinate mixture back into the refrigerator. Now, roast the rump roast by placing it in a shallow pan over a rack. Roast it at 325 degree Fahrenheit without covering it. Roast for about 2 hours and bast it with the marinade mixture in the last 30 minutes. Strain out the remaining marinade in a small saucepan and add 2 cups of water to it. Boil this mixture for one minute and spoon this marinade over sliced rump roast while serving.
