Becoming a Healthy Vegetarian
How to become a vegetarian? For a hard core non veg lover, it might be quite a task to give up all the protein rich animal foods and eat just veg. And honestly, it's difficult to even think about it once you start eating non veg, however, if you want to give it a try then below are the steps to becoming a vegetarian. It is quite easy if you follow the following tips and steps with thorough dedication.
Step #1
So now that you have decided to become a vegetarian, you must strictly avoid/stop eating poultry stuff which includes meat, chicken, beef, ham, eggs, fish. It's surely tough, but you might get used to it soon enough.
Step #2
Start looking for some really healthy vegetarian recipes. You could hog on vegetarian burgers and other vegetarian protein foods which are comparable to the non veg stuff. If you eat good and satisfactory veg food, it would be easier for you to go ahead with the step #3.
Step #3
I guess now you will be fine with your vegetarian diet. So it would be advisable if you could follow a vegetarian diet plan accordingly since it will help you overcome any temptation!
Step #4
The most important aspect is what kind of vegetarian you want to become, because there are 5 different types of vegetarians which have been explained in the table given below.
| Vegetarian Type | Foods They Consume |
| Flexitarianism | Eat all meat products in limited amounts |

Benefits of Becoming a Vegetarian
What are the pros of becoming a vegetarian? There are many. First of all, poultry foods are heavy and thus difficult to digest in contrast to the vegetables and fruits that we eat in a balanced vegetarian diet. Secondly, meat food consumption is associated with heart problems mainly coronary heart diseases which is not the case with high fiber veg foods. Also, thirdly, one cannot ignore the ethical issues involving the usage and killing of animals for human satisfaction: I mean there are many who object. So the bottom line is vegetarian food is better than the non vegetarian food products without no major side effects.
Now many people think of becoming vegetarians to lose weight, yes! But this vegetarian fact isn't true since non veg foods are good and healthy when eaten in their raw form owing to which are the main components of almost all the fad diet plans. So hogging on non veg stuff that is not too oily and fried is always recommended and nothing to do with weight gain as such. If one continues to exercise along, this should not be a matter of concern.
Now you know the benefits of being a vegetarian and what it takes to becoming a vegetarian. It's totally your choice. There is no harm trying it. However, for me, can't think of it! (I love non veg food and can't give up).
