There is an amazing design in god’s creation. With just skin and bones he has managed to create billions of different faces. There is a distinct and unique feature in every face which makes it possible for people to recognize each other. We might not be able to accurately explain as to what the exact distinct features are. We leave that tedious part to our subconscious processing which takes care of it and gives us the result in a fraction of a second. But that led me to this curious question. "If all of us are just skin and bones then why are some people beautiful and others are less beautiful". The interesting part is that people judge an individual as "beautiful" or "ugly" without any interaction. A girl walking on the road is judged as beautiful (read hot) with just a glance.
There is an old adage which says that beauty lies in the eye of the beholder. So according to this adage beauty is not inherent in the body or in the face but in the eye of the observer. So beauty then has to be subjective. I could think of only one theory to explain this puzzle of nature. A person’s perception of beauty is in a subtle way a reflection of his own self. The person’s perception of beauty could be based on his aspirations. An individual communicates even when there is no physical communication through a number of factors like the clothes he/she wears, the way they walk, the expression on their faces and a number of other factors.
The observer gets these inputs and forms a judgment. These inputs are processed sub-consciously and a judgment is formed. This judgment is then compared with the aspirations of the person. If the perception that has been formed is what the observer aspires for then he would probably term the other person as beautiful. So to put it simply a person’s perception of beauty represents his aspirations. Probably this could explain why a person who aspires for humility finds a simple girl(as perceived through a single glance) beautiful while a person who aspires for confidence finds a confident girl attractive and beautiful. So guys the next time you find someone beautiful stop salivating and ask yourself why you found the girl good looking,it could probably unlock some of your secret aspirations and help you discover yourself.
