They say that the size does not matter, but usefulness and the intrinsic value is what matters. I believe that is 100% true, of course barring a few exceptions. What I mean to say is, it does not matter if your house is small or your car is small, as long as it is good enough and useful for you, right? I mean obviously if it does not, you can go for a bigger car or a house. The same thing can apply to things within the house. But let's take up bathroom as more than any other elements in a house as it is a bit neglected.

Accentuate with Accent
Just as the fashionistas suggest that plump or fat or short people should wear vertical stripes, to appear taller and slimmer, the same rule applies to bathrooms as well. Hence, choose a vertical wallpaper which will create an illusion of height. For a uniform and nice look, use matching fixtures. Keep it as clutter free as you can.

At Low Levels
To make your bathroom look bigger and spacious, replace the existing old bathtub. I mean if you are pondering over a major revamp, you can think of replacing the existing bathtub with a model which is lower walled. It is great for a shower and you can have a leisurely bath as well in it. A corner shower enclosure would also be a good option if there is no space for a bathtub. You can pick from number of shower designs at a concerned store.

Colored Bath
Designs can seem incomplete without the mention of how colors impact decor. Lighter colors always are the best bet in smaller spaces. They make the place look bigger and better. The light colors need not be like really light, they can be bright as well, but not really dark and deep. That will give an effect of the walls closing in on the person.

Well, a sexy and jazzy way to make your bathroom look fabulous and bigger is to install a big full length mirror on one wall. WOW! It is going to look great! Add skylights to that and see how drastically spacious your space will look. Bright, huge wattage bulbs will further make it look bigger. There should be a proper use of mirrors and lighting though, for this kind of effect.

Small Wonder
Another design is the usage of items in there which are not too big. Choose things, either a paper towel holder or toothbrush holder smaller in size than those used in average bathrooms. This idea will lead to occupying lesser space.

Cornering the Space Problems
Less space, not problem! We can corner this issue! Okay, let me get to the point. Corner storage is one of the most appropriate ideas. For example, installing storage units in the corner will give you those extra few inches required and it will be a very creative design too.
