Basic Quiche Recipe
Quiche is a popular dish from French cuisine. It is a baked dish made from milk or cream and eggs in a pastry crust. You can also add some other ingredients such as vegetables, cheese or chopped meat to the egg mixture to offer additional flavor. You can also make some exceptional combination of food recipes with your imagination. Quiche is the main dish that can be served with a crusty French bread or salad. Recipe# 1

Ingredients
¾ cup milk
1 frozen 9-inch deep dish pie crust
5 large eggs
2 cups shredded cheese or chopped drained cooked vegetables or diced deli meat

Preparation
Preheat the oven to 350°F. In a large mixing bowl, beat the eggs.

Then add filling of your choice and milk and mix it well. Pour this mixture into frozen pie crust.

Place quiche mixture on cookie sheet and bake for about 45-50 minutes, until the top turns brown.

Recipe# 2

Ingredients
10" unbaked pie shell
1 cup grated Swiss cheese
1 tbsp flour
6 eggs
1 tbsp butter, softened
¼ cup Parmesan cheese
1 pt. light cream
2 tbsp butter, melted & browned
Pinch of nutmeg
Pepper to taste
¼ tsp salt

Preparation
Spread butter on the bottom of the pie shell. Then sprinkle Swiss cheese in the bottom of the pie shell.

Sift all the dry ingredients. Then add cream and eggs to dry ingredients and beat it until mixed well.

Pour custard over cheese. Bake it for about 10 minutes at 450°F. Reduce the heat to 325°F and bake for additional 25 minutes.

Then remove from the oven and sprinkle with butter and Parmesan cheese. Then again keep it in the oven and bake for 10 minutes.

Recipe# 3

Ingredients
8 ounces Gruyere, grated
1 cup fresh flat-leaf parsley, chopped
¾ cup half-and-half
4 eggs
1 frozen pie crust in a tin
2 medium yellow onions, diced
½ tsp black pepper
1 tbsp olive oil
1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
¾ tsp kosher salt

Preparation
In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-low heat. Then add onions, ¼ tsp of pepper and ½ tsp of salt. Cover the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes, until onions are softened. Then add chopped parsley and cover it and cook it for about 2 minutes.

Meanwhile, whisk together half-and-half and eggs in a small mixing bowl. Then add nutmeg, Gruyere, remaining pepper and salt and onion mixture.

Place the pie crust on the foil-lined baking sheet. Spread the egg mixture into the pie crust, until it is full. Bake it in the preheated oven at 375°F for about 40 minutes, until the filling is set. Cut it into wedges before you serve it.

Recipe# 4

Ingredients
2 tbsp flour
½ cup milk
½ cup Mayonnaise
2 eggs, beaten
8 oz sharp cheddar cheese, grated

Preparation
In a small mixing bowl, combine together all the ingredients. Mix it well.

You can add the vegetables of your choice such as spinach, broccoli, mushrooms, etc. You may also add meats as per your choice. Remember that vegetables or meat should be cooked and chopped.

Pour this mixture into the pie pan and bake it for about 45-50 minutes at 350°F. When the top is brown and center is firm, then quiche is ready to serve.
