The good thing about baseball card collections is that their value continues to appreciate. You can actually think of the time and money you put into your collection as an investment. If you have a big, properly organized collection, people will pay through their nose to acquire it. Or even a single card.

But there sure is the emotional attachment that one has with the card collection. A real, hard core card collector will think twice and will really have to rip his heart out if he is to part with his collection.
