Barron Hilton’s DUI Arrest

Hilton, 18, was pulled over on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu at approximately 8:04 a.m. Tuesday. The police reported that his blood-alcohol level was .14 percent. In the state of California, the legal limit for anyone 21 and older is .08 percent, for anyone under the age of 21 any blood-alcohol level is reportedly considered legally intoxicated. Hilton is facing the misdemeanor DUI charge, but also faces a felony charge for carrying the fake license. He was booked at the Lost Hill’s police station and his Mercedes was impounded. Bail was reportedly set at $20,000.

It has been reported that Hilton had an unidentified passenger in the car at the time of the accident and that drugs were not involved. Rick Hilton, Barron’s father, released a statement that read, "I haven’t been contacted yet by my son or the police. If what I have heard is true, it is very disturbing and I will have a lot to say – but it will be to my son, not the media."

Guess little brother, Barron, is following in the footsteps of his big sister, Paris. Paris Hilton was arrested in September 2006 on charges of driving under the influence. Her license was subsequently suspended and in January 2007 she pleaded no contest to a lesser charge of alcohol-related reckless driving. She was sentenced to 36-months probation and ordered to pay a fine. On two separate occasions in January and February 2007 Hilton was found to be driving on a suspended license and was sentenced to serve 45-days at the Linwood Correctional Facility for probation violation.
