Barcelona - experiences to do by Day

The town of Barcelona is a immense metropolis on the Mediterranean coast of Spain. It has a wealth of history dating back to pre-Roman times and the ancient Spanish buildings in the old town is quite gorgeous. You cannot aid but be impressed by the ornate Sagrada Familia Church with its extremely ornate spires. It was started in 1882 and is still unfinished, a bit like many DIY projects! Temperatures year-round in Spain are warm with plenty of sun and extremely little rain. You do not have to speak Spanish in Barcelona. British, pointing and mime are all well understood. Las Ramblas is the most famous pedestrianised street lined with pavement cafes and flower stalls. It's a amusement location to sit and have a beverage as it's full of street artists performing conjuring tricks, stilt-walking and mime.

Barcelona has 68 parks along with the Ciutadella Park which houses the military citadel, the zoo and a number museums. There are a number beaches which are easy to get to by metro, bus or tram. Barcelona also has a great reputation for its football team. Tickets to one of their home matches would undoubtedly be a winner for a stag night.

Plaza Rial is a great location to locate early on in the stag night. it's an amazing location to find cheap tapas and plenty of ale. The Kabul Hostel in the Plaza is a reasonably priced location to stay right in the centre of the action. Cheap eats are also available at the exceptional Boqueria food market. Have it wrapped to go and head out to the waterfront or one of the parks for a spontaneous picnic.

Barcelona - experiences to do at Night

Like all great cities for a stag night, Barcelona has plenty of bars and nightclubs amongst easy walking distance of the city centre. The Tragaluz Restaurant and the Bar Lobo are great places to begin the stag night off. The most quirky bar has to be the Wax Museum Bar at the bottom of Las Ramblas. It has a number different themed rooms. In the fairy grotto you can sit on toad stools surrounded by wax creatures. Another room is a "Believe it or not" experience in an upside-down doll house complete with furniture on the ceiling. These are great places for taking a few whacky stag night photos for the record.

After midnight, head for the Moog, a House and Techno Club with great dance music hosted by DJs from all over the world. It's pretty small and always crowded but has a great atmosphere every evening of the week.
