Banana Recipes
Add some variety to meals; here are some banana recipes to help you do just that...

Banana Sorbet
Ingredients:
- White sugar - 1 cup.
- Water - 1 cup.
- Mashed banana - 1 cup.
- Take a small dish and add the sugar and water to it, mixing continuously bring it to a boil. After it is boiled, allow it to cool down.
- After it has cooled add the bananas to this and then place in the refrigerator and allow it to freeze for 4 hours.
- After it is sufficiently frozen add this to a blender and blend till it is smooth. Put in the refrigerator once again for 2 hours.
- Serve in martini glasses.
Ingredients:
- Butter - 3 tablespoons.
- Bananas, sliced - 4.
- Eggs, separated - 6.
- Salt - ½ teaspoon.
- Cayenne pepper - ½ teaspoon.
- Milk - ¼ cup.
- Parsley, chopped - 2 tablespoons.
- Take a medium-sized skillet and heat the butter in it and add the bananas, let the bananas sauté for 5 minutes taking care to turn them regularly. After this is done remove them and set aside.
- In a bowl, beat the egg yolks with salt, cayenne pepper and milk. Slowly add the egg whites and beat into the yolk mixture.
- Place the egg mixture in a greased baking dish and top with the banana slices.
- Bake for 350 degrees F for 20 minutes, after it is golden brown, remove and serve with parsley.
Ingredients:
- Banana liqueur - 1 ounce.
- Strawberry liqueur - 1 ounce.
- Swiss almond chocolate liqueur - ½ ounce.
- Pineapple juice - 3 ounces.
- Cream - 1 ounce.
- Whipped cream, not whipped - ½ ounce.
- Whipped cream, whipped for topping - 1-½ ounces.
- Cherry - 1 (for garnish).
- In a blender add all the ingredients and blend well.
- Next add some ice and blend once more.
- Pour the mixture into a glass.
- Top with whipped cream and cherry.
Ingredients:
- Dark Crème de cacao - 3 ounces.
- Banana, ripe - 1.
- Half and half or cream - 4 ounces.
- Ice cubes, shaved - 12 ounces.
- Bitter chocolate - garnish and topping.
- In a blender add the crème de cacao and banana.
- Next add the cream and ice cubes.
- Blend well till it is smooth and thick.
- Pour into martini glasses and garnish with chocolate shavings.
Ingredients:
- Red apples, cored and diced - 3.
- Banana, sliced - 1.
- Celery stalk, sliced - ½.
- Walnuts, crushed - ¼ cup.
- Dates, chopped - 1/3 cup.
- Mayonnaise - 3 tablespoons.
- In a large bowl, add the apples, bananas that have been marinates in lime juice for 5 minutes to prevent turning black, celery, walnuts, dates and mayonnaise.
- Chill in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
- Serve in lettuce cups or bowls lined with iceberg lettuce.
