Bad Luck Anna - Chapter 9

Anna was going to ask Adam to prom when she noticed he was with his Mates, Oliver and Henry. They didn’t take her seriously; they laughed at her and thought she was the school nerd, who just spent her time in the school library doing homework. She despised them both, always had, Anna walked on to her German lesson.
About half an hour into German there was knock at the door, it was Miss Lop, there was someone behind her but I couldn’t quite catch who it was.
"Oh god, it’s probably some stupid boy from set 4 who has got to work in our class, again. I bet it's either Henry Soth or Adam Betts" Lucy groaned
As soon as she said his name, Anna felt like she had 1 million butterflies fluttering about in her stomach. Anna didn’t want to have some impossible dream that her and Adam would live happily ever after , after all Anna hadn’t even asked him to prom yet , maybe he was joking about going to prom with Anna , surely one of the most popular guys in school would rather go to prom with someone like Stacey Hing or Kelly Jenkins. Anna didn’t want this feeling of having butterflies when she saw or heard someone talk about him , she didn’t want to be obsessed with him, she didn’t want to keep hoping that he would notice her , or that he would talk to her at lunch , Anna didn’t want to fall in love with Adam! She was happy with Joseph, but she couldn’t help having feelings for Adam.
Behind Miss Lop, was Henry , Anna was happy but also disappointed , she wanted to talk to Adam more , maybe it wasn’t meant to be? After all, all things happen for a reason.
It was Lunch, and Anna was walking to the Canteen with Sally and Joseph when she saw Adam, he winked at her yet again.
"God, Adam is such a jerk" Joseph said
"No he’s not that bad, he’s in my Spanish class, he’s actually quite hot." Sally replied
"I have to sit next to him in maths, he’s ok I suppose." Anna said quietly
Anna couldn’t believe what Sally had just said , she thought Sally liked Jake smith from the year above , Anna liked Adam , she didn’t want Sally to like him as well , when was Anna going to find the time to ask Adam to prom? What if Sally asked Adam before Anna had the chance? She needed to find him , Alone.
