Back To Spain - Chapter 4
Isabella gets attacked, Maite sees something. Cristiano has a secret.
Cristiano
I left Maite behind the crates so she doesn't get caught. There are about 5 guys surrounding the girl. I hope it's not her sister. She doesn't need to go through this. And I really don't want to have to transform in front of them. It's been forever since I've had to. And I'm not about to let tonight be the day I do again. As I walk towards the men, I notice one of them leaning in towards the girl. I turn back to catch a quick glimpse of Maite. She's watching me with wide scared eyes. I turn back around and look at the man.
"Now gentlemen, I don't think that's the right way to treat a lady." I say with a playful voice. They all turn around and stop moving.
"Whose asking you? She came with us. So go back to where ever you were." Said the tall lean one. He had a scar above is eyebrow and was grimacing at me.
"Yeah just leave! Ain't nobody asking'!" Said the short one with blond hair and a chubby build.
I smile at them. They really have no idea who they're talking to.
"I suggest you let her go now before I force you to." I say still grinning at them. Then walk forward a few steps getting closer while cracking my knuckles.
"Oh yeah? How about you shut the hell up. You can't do shit." Said the tall lean one again and walked forward towards me balling his hands into fists. Another one followed him, he was medium height and built. He stood by the other one, who I guess is their leader, crossing his arms.
I walk up to him and whisper in his ear,
"Let her go, and nobody will get hurt." I say menacingly.
He starts laughing and punches my stomach. I chuckle and grab him by his neck and push him back into the built guy.
"Now are you going to let her go?" I ask politely.
"Hell no we're not you son of a bitch! You're gunna pay for this!" The leader said and ran towards me swinging towards my head, I duck and punch him in the ribs. The built one ran up behind me and I jumped over the leader pushing him into the built one while running towards the other 3 men. I grab two of them and smash their heads into each other. The other I punched in the nose. Then I grab the girl and send her towards Maite. I turn around to find all the guys gone but the leader. I walk up to him and punch him in the eye. That'll leave a nice bruise. Then I punch him in the stomach causing him to double over.
"Next time, you should listen." I say to him in his ear while he's crouching.
"You're gu- gunna regret this!" he said while coughing and getting up. I watch him stand and he turns around and leaves.
I walk over to Maite and the girl. Who both were staring at me shocked at what I did. Maite looked scared. I hope she doesn't freak out.
"You- you're eyes. They're purple." She said with a scared face.
Crap! I didn't transform but my eyes changed from the rage! How am I supposedly to explain this to her? I close my eyes and turn my head back hoping they go back to normal. Then look at her and the girl. I look at her with a confused face, hoping she won't ask more.
"Are you okay? I think I should take you guys to get some water." I say with a worried look.
"Is this your sister?" I ask gesturing to the girl next to her.
"Uhh... yeah she is. But I swear, I thought I saw your eyes purple. Isabella, did you see it too?" She asks her sister who just shakes her head, still in shock from what just happened.
"Maite, let's leave that for later and take care of your sister. I don't think she's doing too good." I say as she starts falling. I grab her before she does. When I do that, Marcio shows up running out of breath.
"Isabella! Oh my god are you alright?! I'm so sorry I didn't get here sooner. A fight broke out and I couldn't get around it. What happened?" he asks looking at Isabella.
"Oh here I'll take her" he says picking her up in a cradle.
"These guys had her. But it's alright, I took care of it" I say to him so he can relax.
"Yeah he fought them! It was amazing! I've never seen anyone fight like that except professionals" Said Maite looking at me in awe. I grinned at her.
"I took classes when I was younger. It's no biggie. Now let's get out of here. It's getting way too crazy for you two to be here" I say to them. They all nod in agreement.
Maite
Wow that was amazing. I can't believe he took on all 5 of those guys. I still don't understand why his eyes looked purple after it all too. It was an amazing color. Sort of like an amethyst. It's strange though. They are golden brown now. Maybe it was just the darkness or something. I take a quick peek at him from the side of my eye. He looks down at me and smiles. Darn it! He caught me. Oh well at least I got that adorable smile to look at. I smile back at him and look forward again.
We reach the parking lot where Isabella and I parked. It was extremely crowded. I stop at the car and turn around to look at Cristiano.
"Thank you. For everything tonight. If it weren't for you, I don't know what we would have done." I say to him smiling.
"It's okay. Don't worry about it. I'm just glad you guys are okay." He says while looking at me.
"It was still brave. So either way, thank you again." I say to him
"Please, call me when you get home so that I know you're safe okay? It gets a little hectic sometimes." He says with a bit of a worried look. He's so sweet.
"Alright, give me your number" I say as I take out my cell phone.
"Sure, it's (924) 123-4567" He says as Marcio and Isabella finally say goodbye to each other. I completely forgot they were with us this whole time. Ahh Isabella is so going to get me for this later. Oh well at least she got to talk to Marcio and relax.
"Thanks, I'll call you as soon as I get home. Thanks, again for tonight. It was nice meeting you." I say with a small smile.
"You're welcome and it was nice meeting you too." He says with a quick smile and then gives me a kiss on the cheek. I blush slightly and smile at him then say goodbye and get in the car. Isabella got in the drivers side and turns on the car. I looked back at him and waved. After we got like a block away, Isabella started attacking me with questions.
"So who is he?!" She says in an excited voice.
"His name is Cristiano." I say looking out the window. It started to rain
"Yeahhh I caught that, but like where'd you meet him!? He kept looking at you in such a cute way, and you SO blushed when he kissed your cheek!" She says. I swear she is crazy.
"I met him there when I left you with Marcio and I had dropped my phone when I was watching the fireworks. And he wasn't looking at me in any type of way! He was just being nice. And I did NOT blush! Gosh Isabella." I say a bit annoyed.
"Plus you should be paying attention to Marcio. He likes you. A lot. You have no idea. He was so scared when you got lost. And when he was talking to you and what not. Sheesh Isabella. You are so oblivious." I say rolling my eyes at her.
She starts laughing at me like she's crazy.
"You say I'M oblivious?" she keeps laughing. "okay Maite. Whatever you say. But I know what I saw. And I don't know what you're talking about. Marcio and I are just friends. I really doubt he likes me. If he did he would have told me by now." She says in a matter of fact voice. We finally got inside the gates and drove up to the house.
I got out of the car and walked up to the door waiting for her to open it. She just stands there looking at me.
"Aren't you going to open the door?" I ask annoyed
"Yeah, but aren't you going to call him? You told him you would." She says all excitedly.
"Oh my god Isabella, just open the door, I don't want to get soaked and catch a cold in this rain." I say as she puts the key in the keyhole. We go inside and I walk up to my room and take off my shoes and put my purse down.
I went downstairs for a glass of water and in the mean time I took out my phone and decided to call him.
He answered at the 2nd ring.
"Hello?" he says in a tired voice.
"Hey Cristiano, it's Maite. I'm calling to let you know I'm home now. So don't worry anymore." I say then take a sip of water.
"Alright good, I was getting a little worried. How's your sister?" He asks.
"Oh she's just peachy. She's perfectly fine. Don't worry about her." I say rolling my eyes and in a sarcastic voice.
He chuckles and says,
"I'm glad she's alright." He says.
"Yeah I was really scared. But she's fine now, so I'm okay. Well thanks for worrying. I'm tired and want to sleep." I say yawning.
"Alright but before you go to sleep, want to go out some time? I know we just met and all, but I want to show you around, since you haven't been here for so long."
"Sure. I'd love that." I say smiling.
"Okay, does Saturday sound good?" He asks.
"Yep that's fine. Pick me up around 5."
"Perfect. I'll call you an hour before picking you up." He says with a hint of a smile in his voice.
"Alright, Good Night Cristiano"
"Good Night Maite. Sweet Dreams" He said and ended the phone call.
I just stared into space for a bit before Isabella popped up behind me and took my cup of water and drank it.
"Hey! That was mine you know." I said annoyed. Gosh she can be such a pain.
"Yeah, but I'm too lazy to get a cup of my own, and you weren't drinking it soooo yeah." She says smiling.
"Ayy Isabella. You are such a pain. I'm going to take a shower and go to bed." I say walking out of the kitchen.
"WAIT! Did you call him?" She asks grabbing my arm.
"Yes I called him now can I go?"
"No, what did he say?" She asks jumping excitedly.
"Nothing he's going to show me around the city on Saturday okay? Now I'm leaving. Good night!" I say and dash up the stairs to avoid anymore questions.
I take my shower and change into my pjs. I put my ipod in my ihome and play Remember by Yiruma. He's my favorite pianist. His songs always touch my heart. They make me sleep so peacefully. I set the timer on it for an hour before turning off and get into bed while putting my phone to charge. I cuddle in my covers and fall asleep.
I have a strange dream. There's a man calling me, with purple eyes, but I keep getting pulled away by a group of people with orange eyes so I don't get to see who it is. I try asking who they are but they all ignore and just keep pulling me. Their faces are covered by masks except for their eyes. I see that they have wings. Some pitch black, some speckled brown and the others a strange shade of purple. Somewhat a violet but a bit darker. They pull me back into the darkness and I get an agonizing pain in my back causing me to wake up gasping for breath. I look at the time and it's 4 30 in the morning. I go to the bathroom and wash my face while looking at my back in the mirror. It looks fine. I touch it but it's a bit sensitive. This is strange. I must have hit it or something when I jumped off the wall.
I walk back to my bed and fall asleep again, but this time, a dreamless sleep.
Cristiano
I'm so glad she's alright. I went home after she left. I left my phone at home so when I got there, I had 5 missed calls from Barbara and 4 text messages. I forgot I was supposed to go with her and Michael. Oh well. It's too late now. I'll just call her in the morning.
I walk into the kitchen and get myself a glass of water and chug it down. I didn't realize I was so thirsty. Tonight was scary. I was so close to transforming. And the worst part is, my eyes changed and Maite saw them. I hope she doesn't bring it up again. She can't know my secret.
I'm so tired. I'm just going to change into my pjs and go straight to bed. When I do, I knock out fast. I had a strange dream. I was calling out to Maite. I could see her, but she was being pulled away by some winged people. The kept staring at me while pulling her away, she didn't recognize me though, the darkness just kept following me, keeping me in the shadows. It swallowed me, and I was alone in the darkness.
All of a sudden, I hear a scream and I instantly know it's Maite's. I start running after her, but I can't see anything. The darkness has surrounded me completely. Her screaming stops, and I hear nothing.

I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter! I'm just going as it flows in my mind. I don't have a specific ending in mind yet, but I will soon, This chapter was SUPER long. I can't believe I was able to do it! Next chapter will be out possibly next week. .
