"Ok. Just breathe Stella. That was nothing. It was just a little shock... that's all." I whispered to myself on the way back home in the cab. I repeated it also in my head to try to reassure myself and to trick myself into thinking that it was actually true. But, no matter how hard I tried... it just made it worse and reminded me more and more of what had just happened.
"We're here now young ma'am." The cab driver turned and looked at me as we stopped near my house. I was never the type to tell cab drivers my actual address. After watching Taken... I was very careful of what I did.
I walked slowly back home and worried about what had happened non-stop. I made it to the door and let myself in.
"Hey honey." My dad greeted me as I walked in.
"Hi dad." I said with a gloomy tone. I then rushed up to my room. I opened my door and shut it tight. I then flopped onto my bed and rubbed the sides of my head whilst moaning. I looked quickly over to my bedroom door as I heard it open.
"Stella?" It was my dad.
"Oh. Hey dad." I said.
"Everything alright?" He asked me. I stared at him and sighed.
"No." He then came and joined me on the bed. I sat up.
"What's bothering you?" He asked me. I sighed.
"Dad?"
"Yes?"
"What would you do... if, you liked someone and then you share, like, a moment with someone else and you still like the first person but not so sure about the first person 'cause the second person is on your mind but, you have to care about the first person 'cause you don't want to seem as though you're just playing them and going for the second person?" He looked at me with deep confusion as I asked him that.
"Honey.. I didn't get any of that." He stated. I laughed.
"Ok then. Well, let me put it this way... There's a girl named... Let's say... Sarah! And Sarah dated and kissed a guy named Fred, and then she had moments with... Peter. So she wasn't sure whether to like Fred or Peter and she didn't want to like Peter because it would seem just as though she was just mucking around with Fred." He still had a look of confusion on his face, but it wasn't as troubling as before. I think he sort of understood. He nodded his head slowly and put his hand on his chin, making him have the 'thinking' look. He then removed his hand and took a deep breath before saying, "Ok. Well. I just processed that." I laughed and so did he. "But yes. I think that... Sarah should just follow her heart. And yes, one of them might get hurt, but if they really cared for Sarah they would either be both willing to let Sarah go and accept the decision she makes. It's going to be tough... but they'll eventually get over it." He shrugged. But what if they didn't get over it? I would be left with guilt and sadness! I couldn't possibly hurt Connor! I don't think I have to worry about Chad so much. I mean, what happened... was nothing. It was just going to have to pass. Chad and I are only friends, right? Man! I didn't want to ask my father this and let him know the crazy things that was going on in my twisted, confused mind. He shouldn't have to be dragged into it.
"Well," my father said making me snap out of my thoughts, "I'll leave you to it." He smiled.
"Thanks dad. You're great at giving advice." I smiled back he nodded and then left me to be. As soon as the door had shut, I sighed and flopped back onto the bed.

"Aw! That's so cute! You guys had another moment!" Casey said excitedly as she had a huge, cheesy grin on her face.
"Yeah, well, sorry to break it to you Casey... but, it wasn't like fireworks were set." I said gloomily.
"W-what do you mean?" She asked. "Didn't she realize her affections for you?"
"Casey. She's with Connor. The only affection she felt... was panic. She ran out like Speedy Gonzales." I explained to her with frustration.
"Oh, Chad. I'm so sorry." Casey said as she rubbed my back with her hand.
"Yeah well, I just wonder what it's going to be like at school." I thought aloud with a sigh.

As the bus stopped at the school I got out of my seat and was one of the first people to get off. I needed to talk to Sandy about what had happened. My mind had still been spinning since what had happened.
"Stella!" I could hear Chad's voice calling out to me. I stopped and turned to see him running my way. Oh God, I don't know how this is going to turn out... but it needs to be done. Chad finally made it to me and lightly smiled.
"Morning." He greeted politely.
"Morning." I copied. We then both started walking towards the school gate.
"Look. About what happened-" I stopped him in his tracks and interrupted him.
"It didn't. Whatever it was... it was nothing. It really doesn't need mentioning and... I'm sorry that it had happened in the first place. It's not like it was major or anything... and besides, I'm just going to forget about the whole thing and I recommend that you do as well." I then smiled lightly at him. There was a long pause that seemed like forever. Chad then cleared his throat before saying,
"Yeah, I know. I was basically going to say the same thing as you." Chad stated.
"Great. I guess... that settles it." I said as I brought my hands to clap once. "I'll see you later?" I asked him. He nodded. I then walked into the school and left for my first period. I wasn't sure whether things really were settled... but I knew one thing. I had to let it go.

"Hey! I need to talk to you!" I said desperately as I grabbed Sandy's arm and pulling her to a table outside.
"What? What is it? We've got to go see Josh, he's waiting." Sandy said as she was looking around for him. I clicked my fingers multiple times to get Sandy's attention. As soon as she had caught it I started explaining to her what had happened. It took a while, but she had the patience and listened to every little detail. What a great friend she was.
"And then what?" She asked curiously.
"Well, I told him that it was nothing and that we should just forget about it this morning when we met up at the bus stop here at school. She gave me a look of confusion.
"What?" I asked not knowing what was hiding behind her expression.
"Well... Stella. Doesn't that mean that you-"
"Morning girls!" We both jumped a little as Connor came up from behind us and greeted us with happiness.
"Oh, hey Connor." I smiled.
"Hey." Sandy greeted back.
"What's going on?" He asked us.
"Not much. Uh, have you seen Chad?" I asked him. Where was Chad? I only asked Connor that to avoid having to tell him what Sandy and I were really talking about.
"I actually don't know." Connor said like as if it had just occurred to him as well.
"Hey guys. Thought we were sitting inside?" Josh came and greeted us.
"Yeah, but then Stella and I thought we should sit out here today, could do with the air." Sandy made up as Josh bent down to kiss her cheek. He then put his hand out for Connor to shake and then Connor shaking it back before sitting down.
"Ok, well... where's Chad?" He asked with a look of concern.
"We don't know, normally he'd be one of the first out of all of us to be here." Connor said surprisingly.
"Mm. Odd." Josh said looking confused. Sandy then passed a glance at me. I tried to ignore it.
"Well, I'll go find him." Josh said as he got up out of his seat.
"Yeah, I should go too." Connor said getting up.
"No!" Me and Sandy yelled at the same time. I had already gotten up and grabbed hold of his arm. He raised an eyebrow.
"Um, ok." He said slowly just like his pace sitting down.
*Josh
Chad's on the football team so I decided to check to see if he was in the boy's locker room.
"Hey Chad! Are you in here?!" I yelled out in hope that he was.
"Is that you Josh?" I heard him call back. I turned around one of the corners with lockers and saw Chad sitting on one of the benches.
"Hey, you alright man?" I asked him. He sighed.
"I don't know. Am I?" He asked depressed.
"What's goin' on?" I asked.
"I don't know. I'm so lost with how I feel." He admitted. He then rested his elbows on his knees and put his head down into his hands.
"Feel about what?" I asked him curiously. He then looked up at me before saying,
"Stella."
"What?" I asked. What did he mean?
"Josh. We're pretty... tight. Aren't we?" He asked me. I nodded.
"Sure."
"So if I were to tell you something... you would keep it just between us?" Chad asked me worriedly. I sighed.
"I hate keeping things from people. Especially Sandy... But, you have my word." I promised. He then lightly smiled and thanked me before explaining all that had happened. It was pretty awkward for him telling me all of this, but, I listened carefully.
"And then she told me that it was nothing and that we should just forget about it." He finished.
"But you can't forget about it." I figured.
"Yeah. It's just stuck in my mind. And the only reason why I didn't join you guys is 'cause I wouldn't be able to look at Connor whilst thinking about Stella. It's wrong." Chad said, upset.
"But you can't just avoid them. You are their best friend." I said defensively.
"No. A best friend doesn't do this." Chad disagreed. He was so gloomy.
"This is a tough one. I know that I gave you my word, but, maybe Sandy should know about this." I sighed.
"What?! You promised me!" He got up quickly.
"I wouldn't be the one to tell her. I think you should." I advised.
"Are you crazy?" He asked me, mad.
"Sandy is one of the best people to get advice from. And, she'll keep it a secret. Even though her and Stella are super close... she wouldn't say a thing." This was all true, I meant all of it.
"I can't! It would just drift her and Stella apart. It's not like as though I haven't made things hell already." Chad stated.
"All you've done is discovered your feelings for her man. It's not like as though havoc's wreaked." I responded.
"Yeah, and the fact that she has a boyfriend?" He asked me.
"Connor and her aren't together." I corrected. He looked up at me.
"But she likes him." He said.
"She's never said that. Don't you think that if she was crazy about Connor she would've been over the moon about it?" I asked. He looked at me with a look that said 'you have a point'.
"So... she never said anything about their date?" He asked me.
"She never even told us she went on date with him." I was a bit upset about it but realized that it sort of helped Chad.
"Well, it shouldn't have to make a difference. She said it was nothing. I'll just have to ignore it." Chad said frowning before getting up and leaving.
"I'll see you around Josh." He fare-welled.
"Later." I said back. I sighed. He then turned around and looked at me,
"I appreciate the help Josh." I nodded with a light smile.

"So what was his reaction when you talked to him this morning?" Sandy asked me as she hopped onto my bed.
"He said that he thought the same." I told her. She moved around a bit.
"Really?" She asked in disbelief.
"Yeah, so we basically said that it was pretty much settled." I shrugged.
"Are you sure?" She asked me. I nodded.
"Well, at least I think so." I said uncertain. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Girl I wanna, yeah, yeah, yeah, I wanna see you tonight. It was my phone ringing. I fetched it from the back pocket of my jeans.
"Who is it?" Sandy asked. I looked to see who it was. It was Connor. I put his number in yesterday.
"Hey Connor." I answered. Sandy looked at me and obviously figured who it was. She then looked away trying to ignore our conversation.
"Hey. How are you?' He asked me.
"Yeah, I'm pretty good. How about you?" I asked back.
"Well, I was wondering whether you wanted to go to a wild party with me. It's next Saturday but I thought I would tell you now." He offered. I smiled.
"I'll have to ask my parents but right now I'm actually saying yes."
"Nice. Well, I've got to go. My mum's harping on. I just rang to ask you and check up on you." He told me.
"Alright. See you later mummy's boy." I laughed. He laughed as well and we both hung up.
"What was that about?" Sandy asked me.
"Connor asked me out again." I informed her.
"What do you mean by again?" Holy shit! I didn't tell her about our date before! "I want details." Sandy growled.
