Back In Time

Seems like just yesterday we were chilling in class
Then I realized that it’s the past
How we used to get mad and say you’re not my friend
Then look at each other laughing and saying I’m joking
We became so close within a short period of time
I used to get mad and make you cry and you would just say fine
But that was when I lived in Michigan
Then my parents said I had to move away from all my friends
I was so upset so I called you up
You didn’t understand and you began to fuss
Then I moved to Florida and started to change
And told you I was here cuz of my own mistakes
Threw all that time you stuck by my side
Until one night I told you I didn’t no anymore you began to cry
I told you that I didn’t no and that we couldn’t be friends
Accept this time there was no laughing…no joking
But if I could go back I would do just that
But its just a stage in my life and I have to deal with that..
No matter what happened you were the friend that directed my path
And even though we grew apart I want you to no you were my other half
