Baby's First Birthday

If you want to make your baby's first birthday memorable, read this article.
I am sure the busiest time for a mother is the first year after the baby is born, where she counts down everyday and waits for the baby to be a year old. This is the time that passes really soon since everyday your baby surprises you with something new and you feel realize how fast your baby is growing, and learning. One day your baby sits, another day crawl and then eventually stand up on their own tiny little feet. One day they'll call out to you, and another day they'll be able to say more words. Then comes the fast approaching first birthday of your baby, which is something that every mother looks forward to.

Useful Tips to Plan Baby's First Birthday Party

If you are planning a party then keep it simple, yet fun. Arrange it for a short duration so that you don't upset the baby's schedule and see to it that you don't end up inviting a large number of people, though it is perfectly understandable that you want to share this special moment with everybody. You could also call other moms with kids the same age, to give your toddler company. Call on others for help to put the birthday together, or hire a planner to do it all for you, so that you aren't preoccupied with planning the party, and taking care of the baby.

Inviting People to your baby's birthday

When you design the invitation card for the birthday, you can use cartoon characters on them; either have the picture in the background on which you mention the date, time and venue of the party or you can cut the card in the shape of say, Mickey Mouse or Donald Duck and write out or print whatever you want on the invitation. You can try to make a small poem out of the invitation, which would be a pleasure for the person who reads it. You can also put your kid's photograph on the invitation cards, which would also be a good idea.

Baby's Birthday gifts

You could gift your baby gifts like miniature toy cars, dolls, teddy bears, building block set and the like, or something more fun like a play house or rocking horse. You can also give toys that would teach your baby a way to recognize things and differentiate between them. They can also identify patterns and understand the concepts of length and breadth. These kinds of toys are often referred to as "activity toys" which can be found in any toy store.

Activities, Games and Themes

Since one year olds are bashful, they could fail to follow your instructions when it comes to games. The best thing to do is to set up a play pen, for boys and girls alike, while you supervise closeby.

Birthday Party Favors

You can definitely try toys as favors for your little guests, keeping them simple and not over the top, so as to remain within a certain budget, and not go over the top in providing a fancy gift to every toddler. It should be a fun gift, yet affordable, since the majority of your expenses should go on the birthday. So make your kid's birthday a fun filled affair!!
