After you have collected the strings from all the guests, compare each string with the actual tummy size. The winner will be guest whose string is the closest to the actual size of the tummy.
Blindfold Diapering
This is one of the funniest baby shower games. Here the guests are divided into teams, the maximum strength of the team being five. Each team is given a doll, diapers and a blindfold. The objective of the game is for each participant to place the blindfold on, take of the diaper that the baby is wearing and put on a new diaper. After the first participant completes the process, she rushes over to the second participant who repeats the entire process again. The team that finishes first is declared the winner. In case of a tie, you can judge the correctness with which diaper each placed by the participants.
Cotton Ball Game
This is a fun game that can be used as an icebreaker also. You will need two large bowls or buckets, a spoon and a pack full of cotton balls. In this game, the bowls are placed at a distance of approximately five feet from each other. One bowl is filled with the cotton balls. A guest is blindfolded and with the help of the spoon has to transfer the cotton balls from the bowl containing the cotton balls to the empty bowl. As the cotton balls are very light, it is very difficult for the guests to realize that they have dropped the ball and it is fun to see them execute all the steps very carefully. The winner of the game is the guest who has transferred the maximum number of cotton balls.
Say ‘Baby’
All the guests will have to be made aware of this game while they are entering the venue of the party. Distribute a baby object like baby safety pins to each of the guests which they have to display prominently and can pin it up or hang it around their necklaces. The rule of this game is that nobody is allowed to utter the word ‘baby’. If a guest identifies another guest saying this word, then the guest gets the pin from the guest who spoke the word. At the end, the guest with the maximum number of pins wins the game.
Rice and Diaper Pins
Fill a large bowl with rice. Mix in a packet of diaper pins in the rice. Blindfold each guest one by one and ask them to find the diaper pins in the bowl. The winner will be the guest who finds the maximum number of diaper pins. Ensure that you replace the pins after each guest has had their turn. Although this game may seem easy, it is very difficult and also a lot of fun.
Guess the Baby
This game will require a little planning in advance. Here, you will have to request each guest to bring their photo as a child. You can collect it at the entrance of the venue and pin it up on a board with a number. When all the guests have arrived, you can distribute paper pads and pencils and the guests can write down their guesses. However, this game can only be used in baby showers where all the guests know each other well. If the crowd is varied, then this game will not be too much of fun.
