Are You Aware That There Might Be Bleach In Your Tea Bag?
Are your tea bags bleached?... How do you find this out?... Can it be harmful to your health?
Have you ever heard of unbleached tea bags? Is there really such a thing? C'mon, who would bleach tea bags?
Well, I have startling news for you...
I was walking through the super market the other day looking through the aisle that contained tea to see what tea was available when three words caught my attention. I stared in awe and my jaw literally dropped open.
On a canister of tea, those three words read, "unbleached tea bags."
Wait a second, like there is such a thing as bleached tea bags? What? No!!! I must have misread the label, you might think. I can assure you that I didn't. I re-read that label several times.
Quickly, I looked at a few other canisters and saw the same words. However, some of those canisters didn't say, "unbleached tea bags."
So what did it mean?
Does that mean that the tea canisters that don't say, "unbleached tea bags." have bleached tea bags?
I can tell you that if some tea companies are bothering themselves with writing that their tea bags aren't bleached, those who aren't saying it must have bleached tea bags.
Personally, I can only tell you that I am not partial to drinking tea that came from a bleached tea bag. What about you?
I say, let's stick to the healthy option and buy tea that comes from unbleached tea bags. What do you say?
Otherwise, I think that you and I are pretty much wasting our time thinking about all the benefits that this wonderful tea will bring us when we're using bleached tea bags.
I am not a scientist and haven't done tests to find out whether or not the bleach might cancel most of the tea's medicinal and health benefits, but just about everyone knows that drinking anything that might contain bleach is bad for you.
Let's not tempt the devil with that one and stick to unbleached tea bags. At least, I will! Will you?
Eat chocolate, drink tea, and be happy!!!!
