Aversion of This World - Chapter 5

Tyler has always been alone. She likes it that way.
Just as I was on the balcony railing ready to jump, there was a knock at the door.

"Oh bugger." I muttered. I quickly jumped off the railing as the door opened.

"Hello? Tyler where are you?" Jamie said.

I landed quietly, absorbing the shock by rolling. I sprung up and saw Jamie looking worried over the balcony at me.

"Get the fuck back here Tyler!"

"Sorry Juliet but no." I smiled and ran along some grass. Wow, huge garden.

After sprinting about five hundred meters I came to a huge wall. Curses, use powers or play fair?

Use powers. I jumped and scaled the wall, behind me I could heard someone else running. I looked down at a dot of a human, thank god I don't suffer from vertigo. I sat down on the narrow wall and smiled tauntingly whilst trying to catch my breathe without Jamie noticing. I paused to allow him see my smug face.

"Get the hell back here or I swear to god!-"

"WHAT! 'Or I swear to god', What could YOU possibly do to make my lifed worse? huh?" I laughed "My life is so bloody tragic that I don't have anyone to notice I'm gone! I don't have people searching and putting up 'Missing' signs. For some reason people think that I don't care what happens to me. That I don't mind all this drama. That I don't mind because I have nothing to care about." I said from my perch, I am not the yelling, over-emotional type.

I whispered down to him now with venom,"I do NOT want to move, I do NOT want people saying I'm 'special'...and I certainly do NOT want your sympathy..." I added that last part because he looked as if he was about to say he was sorry. I never understood why people apologized.

I turned and jumped down the other side, tears coming from my eyes. I did not sob or cry even, I just let them fall, my demeanor calm.

My moment of freedom was short lived though as three shadows surrounded me. Josh and two other boys. I was too tired to fight so I just accepted my fate and gave in...
