Aversion Of This world - Chapter 3

Tyler has always been alone, always been an outcast. She likes it that way.
My arm slid along the cotton cover. I reached up to try and hug a pillow. My eyes flew open.

Where the hell am I?

I looked around the room. Sunlight streamed in from balcony doors. The room was huge. I lay in the middle on a dark brown four poster bed with cream and red sheets. The whole room continued this color scheme. A sofa, wardrobe, mirror, desk...

I attempted to sit up but both my arms were bound to one of the posters.

I glared at the ropes for a second before they started to sizzle the catch fire.

I stood up rubbing my previously bound wrists. At that moment someone entered the room. I spun round and adopted a defensive stance, slightly crouched.

My jaw dropped.

It was Jamie.

"What the?...How?...Know?" I was struck dumb. He just grinned dumbly.

"Hey! You're a burner! Wait...Are you speechless?!" He put on a face of fake shock.

"No! It's just...uh..."

He chuckled at me. I got annoyed.

"Why the hell have I been kidnapped? What the hell have you got to do with this anyway? And where the hell is this place?!"

"I shouldn't really tell you right now..." He began.

I was furious now.

"Right that's it, I'm leaving." He roared with laughter and clutched his sides. I threw him a quizzical look.

Wiping away a tear from his eye he made his face serious. "You're going have to get through me I'm afraid...like hell you'll manage that..."

*THWACK* High kick in the chest. He staggered to the ground, I loomed over him and smiled.

"So if you don't mind, I'll be on my way." He reached for my leg and spun me to the ground. I sprang up a second after him and was caught with a melee of blows designed to trip me up of off balance me. I blocked and reposed slowly backing away. Eventually Jamie glared at me and the tips of my hair went on fire. I tried to pat it out but by the time I had managed that he talked me to the bed, pinned my arms above my head and had straddled my body. His lips inches from mine.

"You cheated!" I exclaimed. He shrugged.

I tried using my powers but he had some sort of bubble around him. So I settled for a glare.

He laughed again with a smug look on his face.

I heard snickers from beyond the bed. I looked up and managed to knee Jamie in the crotch. He fell off the bed and I crouched prepared to fight again.

Two guys and a girl were standing in the doorway. One was ancient looking and had knowledge behind his grey eyes. He had white hair and was dressed in a grey suit. The man next to him was younger, in his twenties. He had blonde hair and blue eyes and was dressed in dark jeans and an open shirt. The girl beside him was just younger than me and had red wavy hair and green eyes, clad in a green floor length dress. She and the blonde man smiled at me.

I frowned at them all.

"Ouch!" The girl said just as the blonde man jumped. I can glare electric shocks.

"She is indeed strong like you said, Josh." the old man said. Josh grinned at the red head even more stupidly.

"Who are you? And why am I here?"

"Well I see you've already met Jamie..." he said with one raised eyebrow, the red head and Josh bellowed a laugh at Jamie who was just managing to stand up.

"...this is Katie, Josh, and I am Anderson, Mr Anderson." the old man said.

"You are here for training, to learn how to control your powers. This is Esmerelda Academy. I am extremely sorry about your arrival but Jamie was in charge of your case and he thought it was necessary, he only told me about what happened after it did..." I glared at Jamie and his eyebrows started to smoke. He started manically whacking out his eyebrows.

"Hey! I only wanted to see how strong you were! If you had just used your powers at the begging then the fight would have been over much quicker....I also happen to be the person that has to train you and the person who you have kicked and burned..." His voice faded to a mutter.

"WHAT?! First of all who says I want to go to this dumb school?! And even if I did I wouldn't want HIM as a mentor or trainer or whatever!" The mirror cracked and the house actually shook.

"Well you've just proved that you more than surpass the entry requirements and once you've managed to pass, that's it, it is compulsory. You could harm someone or yourself. And he's your tutor because you're late in coming into the term, once you've caught up on the curriculum he won't have to tutor you anymore." Mr Anderson said.

"COMPULSORY?!" The glass in the windows broke from my shout. Katie and Josh shrank away from me.

I was seriously going to kill someone. Right, first sign of darkness I'm going to escape. One way or another I'm going to make sure I never go to this stupid school, or be in the same room with Jamie ever again.
