Remember, the above statistics and numbers are meant to serve as a mere guideline as to the recommended ideal weight for women with respect to height. You should bear in mind that these numbers may not necessarily be universally applicable to women all over the world. This is because, a person's weight and body physique is largely dependent upon a number of factors such as:
  • Genetics
  • Race
  • Lifestyle
  • Eating habits, and much more
Your genes play a very important role in determining how slim or plump you are, or could be. If both your parents have always been on the heavier side, then there's a fair chance that you too, would have inherited those characteristics from your parents. At times, your background, community, race, etc. also has a bearing on how much you tend to weigh. For example, African-American women are generally known to be a bit on the heavier side. In contrast, the female community from the far east (such as from China, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, etc.) are naturally on the smaller, slimmer side. Last but certainly not the least, your eating habits and your lifestyle has a huge impact on your body weight and your physique. If you remain careless about your diet and end up gorging on junk foods, fried foods and fatty foods, then regardless of whether you are naturally blessed with 'lean 'n' slim' genes or not, you will undoubtedly balloon up and so will your weight. So make sure that you watch what you eat, and that you keep your body fat levels as low as possible.

This was a brief bit of information regarding the weight for women by height. The body mass index (BMI) is another good way of calculating your ideal weight range by height.
