Aventura, Florida: A Great Place to Sell Anti-Aging Products

I spent my normal Sunday morning with a quick run down South Beach to see what was going on and get my heart going. A Miami Beach resident, I am quite familiar with the entire "beach" as the locals call it and all of the in's, outs, high-rises, low-rises, and dive bars. After my workout and a quick breakfast on Ocean Drive, I made the journey north to a city called Aventura. Aventura may be a great place to set up shop and sell anti-aging products to the masses.

Aventura is an affluent suburb that is made up of many backgrounds. Among the most popular settlers tend to be people of Jewish descent. Many Jewish deli's and law offices with the names containing the names "Rosensomething" or "Goldberg" are quite prevalent. It's also worth noting that after a trip to Whole Foods, it appears the women of Aventura care quite a bit about their appearance.

I spotted many women who appeared to have just returned from the gym, and they were all toting some sort of moisturizer. The gym bags literally had skin care products falling out of them, as they strolled down aisle after aisle, picking over foods like gourmet olives and fine wines. Most women in there had a heavy dose of cosmetics applied to their faces, such as wrinkle creams, eye sprays and serums, and makeup.

Watching them talk of the "good life," chatting up about wines and cheeses, you can tell these women come from money. Most of them exited to the parking lot and drove off in expensive jaguars, bmw's, and mercedes benzes.

Anti-aging is a great industry to be in. South Florida, with the hot sun always around and the number of baby boomers at an all-time high, may just be the best spot to set up shop and cater to this free-spending community.
