Autumn Mystique
A mystic encounter with an otherworldly being.
I walked alone, through forest green,
On a cold autumnal morn,
When through the trees I saw a maid
Of true and perfect form,
Beneath the leafless trees she stood,
In fairytale like dream,
When she looked up and saw my stare
Her eyes did beckon me.
With cold sweat breaking from my brow,
My heart did thunderous beat,
I did not know from whence she'd came,
Nor why she should seek me,
But mesmerized I stood my ground,
I could not turn and flee,
Beheld within the spell she cast,
I wandered o'er to she.
Within her hands she held an orb
Which sparkled like a star,
An energy that burned like fire
Did penetrate my heart,
I felt the awe of cosmic truth
And fell upon my knees,
In homage to this lady fair
Who'd beckoned unto me.
This lady from another world
Dressed in her purple gown,
Wore not the jewels of royalty,
Ere for her Queenly crown,
Her bare clad feet ne'er felt the cold,
Nor did her breath expire
In plumes of vapour, as mine did
From cold autumnal air.
She bid that I should stand before
The majesty she held,
She raised my eyes to look at hers,
To greet me with their smile,
Her parted lips did whisper words
Like I had never heard,
They spake that I should understand,
The mystery of her world.
From high above the mountain top,
Beyond the clouds, she dwelt,
Beyond the moon, beyond the stars,
Beyond the Heavenly realm,
That she was sent to watch o'er me,
To steer me on the path,
To righteousness and honesty,
With honour in my heart.
And then did I shed my tears
In glory of her love,
My soul did fly away from me
To reach the stars above,
In astral flight I found the truth,
Beneath her wings of down,
Before descending back to earth,
Contented in her knowne.
The truth that she has shown me
Shall forever hold my stead,
Forevermore I'll worship her,
And nevermore shall tread,
The darkened path of misery,
That melancholy way.
Upon her light my ship shall sail
Forever and a day.
