Autumn Glory

Filled with the surprises of Halloween and juicy marshmallows, autumn is the time to reflect and take time off from routine and rust. Refresh your soul and dunk in autumn glory.
In the richness of orange and yellow,
In the wake of lazy, hazy, sleepy sun;
Autumn is the time for marsh mellow,
And songs alive with Halloween fun.

As trees shed their green-brown leaves,
As they stand in carpets of crisp crackle;
The children play beneath dewy eaves,
Sharing lawn with squirrel and grackle.

The earth gets ready for rake and pan,
While adding to yesterday's leaf fall;
Back-to-school fervor fills open span,
As chipmunks leap over fence 'n wall.

From showers to autumn, frost to spring,
Thereon from the sultry summer shroud;
The showers return to a-fluttering wing,
Amidst the glorious autumn, fluffy cloud.

Autumn heralds the rise of new tide,
It is steeped with crispness of heart;
Transition time, with nothing to hide,
And a time to make rejuvenated start.

Reflect the chance and promise of life,
With every new sunrise 'n moonlit hour;
Walk in love-soaked soul from all strife,
You inheritor of his might and power.
