Author of A Dead Life:
Tell me if you like it!
I'm wondering if you guys would like me to come out with my newest story. Its basically like my online diary, it’s about me, so you guys could get to know me better through my stories and possibly relate to me better. The time line of my story is based on yr. 2007, 2008 .... I think I'll put it in the written by kids and teens section. Here’s a preview:
My blood was pumping; my skin was crawling, my adrenaline coursing faster and faster through my body. I was ready; this is what I’ve trained for, this is what I wanted, wanted so bad I could taste victory, pride and satisfaction on the tip of my tongue. I pealed my tracksuit off with care, folding and placing it behind me, I flipped my goggles, then bathing cap –red, white and black my team colors. I felt pride swell inside my chest, honored to be ranked as another swimmer carrying the tradition, like a torch among one another. I swung my arms and legs across my body stretching, and warming the muscles. With my tinted goggles over my eyes I could still see my coach, friends, and family chanting me on with vigor. I was ready; this is the moment I trained for since I was ten years old, with three years of heavy training behind I was prepared. A whistle blew signaling my heat to step up to the wooden blocks. With my feet planted firmly on the platform I blocked out all of the noise till it was a dull hum in my ears, I focused, focused on the race I was about to undertake. A load booming voice signaled for the swimmers to "Take their marks" I stretched my arms till my fingertips hooked onto the underside of the block. Knees bent, chin down, feet posed…everything was the closest thing to perfect. Once all the swimmers were in somewhat the same position as me a load beep went off, that was my cue to dive with all the strength I possessed, and with everything else, everyone else faded away, it was only me and the water. My arms pulled when my feet ended in a perfect whip, my body sliced through the water like a bullet. I carried myself for 200 meters –eight laps-with a deadly speed, I neared my last turn, and flipped off the wall in one graceful motion, knees tucked, hands shoulder width apart, flat on the wall. The last length came and went so fast, the last thing I remembered was smacking both palms on the panel as my time bleeped overhead on an electric board. All my hard work and training came down to this moment. Three years packed into minutes and seconds. But as my brain registered my time a wide grin spread on my face as the crowds’ noise came back to me. I held my hands above my head in victory, I made it I accomplished my dreams and everything fell into place.
