Auld Lang Syne-Oh Christmas Tree-Jingle Bells- Sung With New Silly Words-Farewell 2007-Hello 2008!

# A fun little song to the tune of "Oh Christmas Tree, Auld Lang Syne and Jingle Bells. Singing out the holidays with a smile and welcoming the new year of 2008 is just too fun. First verse goes: Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree, you spent up all your chances, you coulda had a yearly spree, but ya went and got limp branches.
Auld Lang Syne-Oh Christmas Tree-Jingle Bells- Sung With New Silly Words-Farewell 2007-Hello 2008!
Farewell 2007 and welcome 2008!

Christmas and/or the holidays come and go. We welcome them and bless them as we pack up all their cheer in boxes and set them aside till next year.

Below is a spoof song for sending out the holidays and 2007 with cheer. Trees are being dismantled, some chopped up for kindling, some chopped up for compost piles. We pack away our lights and bulbs and treasures we remember with sentimental song. We plan on diets because of all we ate too much during our holiday spreads. We consider lists that resolve our old ways and plan to do better in the New Year. We do it every year. We were excited to see it all come and now we are most grateful and happy to put it all away. This little song I wrote is sung to different tunes. The tunes are put in parenthesis right before the tune changes to another.

(Oh Christmas Tree)

Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree
you spent up all your chances
you coulda had a yearly spree
but ya went and got limp branches.

I'll miss the bulbs that graced your hair
I'll put the star and treasures where?
The cost to thee
post reverie
that we will sing next year!

(Auld Lang Syne)

Should old acquaintance be forgot
and thought of later on
we'll chop you
compost your guts
cause you didn't last that long.

Should old acquaintance be forgot
and folly till next year
well find new ground
more trees are found
and we'll set it all to cheer.

(Jingle Bells)

Jingle bells no one tells
and that's the way its been
Santa watches all day long
as reindeer make it clear
They're getting old
story told
so lighten up their load
Tiny boxes sent with cheer
consider them next year.
