ATOAB - Ch. 9

I woke up at five and quickly grabbed a shower. I put on my work clothes and ate an sandwich that Hilda must have put on my bed. I walked to my work area slowly, not looking forward to spending a whole day handing out towels. My cell phone buzzed and I turned it off. Oh! I at completely forgot to call mom! I looked at my and to my relief I was ten minutes early. I whipped out my cell phone and called my mom.

Mom: Hello?

Me: Hey, Mom!

Mom: How are you sweetie?

Me: I'm great. How are you?

Mom: I'm good. I miss you bunches!

Me: I miss you too mom!

Mom: How's the cruise?

Me: Great! My job is pretty boring, but I love the cruise

Mom: That's great. What do you do?

Me: I hand out towels to people entering the pool area.

Mom: That does sound boring. Are the people nice?

Me: Yeah, most of them are nice.

Mom: Are there any cute boys?

Me: Mom!

Mom: Well I was just asking * chuckling*

Me:Actually there is a cute guy that I went on a date with

Mom: Really? What's he like?

Me: He's funny, smart, cute.....

Mom: Oh! Make sure you don't bring home any grandbabies. I'm
not ready to be a grandmother

Me: Mom!? I went on one date with him! That's it

Mom: Okay sweetie.....

Me: I have to go. I'll call you later?

Mom: Yes! You better all me later!

Me: Okay mom. I love you ! Bye!

Mom: I better hear from you soon. You hear young lady?
Me: Mom I'm 18 not two. I'll call you later, I promise

Mom: I'll let you go. Love you! Bye!

Me:Bye! Love you!
