At last, an amazing new way to make your mum proud of you.
Here is a free gift for you to give to your mum. It will bring tears of joy to her eyes and create a smile that will spread from ear to ear. She will love you for this and be so proud of you.
Mothers can create astonishing effects on the family unit which overspills into the community. A continuing ripple effect occurs flowing into neighboring towns and countries and eventually builds the momentum to spread throughout the world. As Abraham Lincoln quoted "The greatest lessons I have ever learned were at my mother’s knees. All that I am, or hope to be, I owe to my angel mother." What an awesome responsibility! Good mothers certainly need support, respect and above all, appreciation.
What is a mother and what is her role? It is now more difficult than ever to answer that question. The role of a mother is considerably multifaceted. Ask any mother how they would describe their role. All the answers will be radically different.
A mother’s role is vital because she is helping to mold and create the future generations. She needs to teach the values and principles of love and compassion, honesty and integrity, courage and determination and build self-esteem and confidence so her child or children can grow up and become happy and healthy adults.
Today's culture expects more and more from mothers. As well as being a great role model, mothers have to shop, cook, clean and run a home. Many are expected to work and have childcare. Many moms do not live near their parents and siblings and rely on more support from their partners which can put stress on the relationship.
Many young moms suffer from long spells of sleep deprivation which often leads to stress and exhaustion. So how can we help them cope with all that built up stress?
I believe the unconditional love which mothers have for their children creates strength and determination to push on and never get weary of well-doing. We often can take for granted how hard they work and overlook how tired they are.
I believe the best way to help our moms is to tell them how much we appreciate them and to show them our appreciation by doing kind and thoughtful acts of service for them. A cup of tea, a nice meal, a bubble bath run especially for her to relax in, a meditation and relaxation course to alleviate her stress and recharge her batteries, an hour of ironing to save her legs, a bouquet of flowers to brighten her day, a little note of kindness or a poem like the following left on her pillow are just a few ways to say thank-you mom, I love you.
MUM
You’re always so dependable,
so loving and so dear,
your love is unconditional
of that I have no fear.
Always there to lend an ear
when challenges arise,
words of comfort you will speak
and love shines through your eyes.
Responsible and diligent, you’ve
taught me how to live,
to be compassionate with others
always having time to give.
For all you’ve done and all
you do, this message I must send,
as well as "best mum in the world"
you are "my special friend."
