As Strange As Fiction: The Stalker
This is the second part of "As Strange As Fiction". The black-haired girl finally talks to Zach and he realizes she might just be a potential stalker. Does she really like him? Or is this something else?
Hi guys! Thanks for reading the first part of my story. Hopefully this second part will give you a better idea of what's really happening, lol. Anyway, hope you leave more kind comments. I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

"Hi Zach…" the black-haired girl finally said with a shy smile. As she got near me, I got a weird realization that she wasn’t as ordinary as I thought. Her face was more of cute than lovely--- seemingly doll- like. Her curly hair was a bit ruffled but maybe it was silkier to the touch. No, she wasn’t ordinary at all.
"Hi Gen…" I answered. "So, how’s everything?" she asked in a bubbly voice. "Um, everything’s ok, I guess…" I answered nonchalantly. I wasn’t really interested in making small talk with Realton University’s # 1 gossip columnist. She actually ran the School paper’s gossip column, if that is even allowed. And since I’d been noticing her a lot, the past few days, I was kind of afraid that she might be doing a story on me. "Oh, I know, I know… Do you wanna dance?" she asked hopefully. I almost choked on my cocktail. "Uh, sorry Gen, but I’m kind of with someone… "I said while looking around to the group of chatty cheerleaders I was with. "Oh…" she muttered with a frown. "Well, can I just---- hang around with you guys for a while?" She asked. The guys suddenly stopped talking and finally noticed her beside me.
Since everybody knew her reputation for blabbing, I could almost feel their stabbing eyes telling me to make her go away. "Um, sure…" I finally gave up and let her sit opposite my table. You could hear the whispers of the girls beside me, shooting angry glances at her. I was almost kind of sorry for Gen, even if I also thought the same about her. "So Zach, I’ve heard that you’ve been working on a new storyline. When would you want your stuff to get published on the school paper?" She asked. I was surprised that she even knew I was writing anything. I didn’t remember broadcasting this to anyone. "How do you know about that?" I asked. "Oh, you know… people talk… "She said with a smile. This was getting queerer by the minute. So I immediately began a conversation with Stephanie, the girl beside me, hoping that Gen would just get the idea and move out of the table. But being Gen, she didn’t do that. Instead, she sat there quietly absorbed in listening to what I was saying to Steph. I couldn’t wait for Flip to get back so we could go home.
Sure enough, after a few minutes he came back with the blonde in his arm. "Hey guys, this is Leona…" He introduced to the crowd, oblivious of Gen in front of him. They all said "hi" to her. Flip whispered something in her ear, that made her giggle. "Zach, Leona and I are planning to go somewhere else…" Flip implied. "Oh, I understand. I’ll manage on my own." I said with an understanding laugh.
"Thanks man…" he said before leaving me with the noisy group of jocks and cheerleaders and the weird black-haired, gossip columnist Gen. Right then, I managed to slip out of the room and bolt out of the door without any problem. I walked briskly to my car parked at the end of the dark alley.
"Zach…" She was right behind me. How the heck did she move so quickly? "Look, Gen, really, I’m sorry but can you please stop what you’re doing? I didn’t want to have to tell you this, but I don’t like you, ok? I have a girlfriend and I’m really not that interested in any flings or whatsoever. So, can you please just go home?"
I was so absorbed in my speech that I almost didn’t notice the slight smile forming on her lips. The smile quickly evolved into a laugh that became as long as a whole minute. I just stood there looking dumbfounded. Was this girl really that crazy? "Oh Zach…" She finally said after a few more bouts of laughter. "I’m not here ‘coz I want you. In fact, I don’t even really like you." She said. I almost didn’t believe her until she said the next few words.
"I’m only chasing after you, ‘coz they sent me…to kidnap you." She said slowly. I couldn’t have heard well enough. She couldn’t be serious. But she was, and the next thing I knew, I was drugged and everything went blank.
