What is Article Marketing - Free Website Traffic with Articles
If you’ve heard of article marketing you know that it’s the most powerful form of free online advertising. If you haven’t heard of this monster marketing method keep reading and I’ll tell you what it’s all about.
The Internet is primarily composed of articles so it should come as no surprise that articles are a very effective marketing tool when it comes to online marketing.
In a "nutshell" I’ll explain the basic process that you must take in order to successfully market with articles:
1. Write an article: The article should be relevant to the Website in which you are promoting. Try to come up with problems that people in your field face and either solve it or provide relief. Do not mention yourself or your service. The body of your article is your chance to "give" and the signature is your change to "take." Once you complete your article, which should be somewhere around 300-400 words, you will need to write a sentence or two that contains information about you and/or your service. This is where article marketing pays off. Tell the viewer what you provide at your Website and include a few links. It’s important to include links to internal pages as well as the main site URL. This is called the "signature block" or the "Authors Area."
2. Submit your article: Now that you’ve created an interesting, quality article you will need to get it online. The first thing you will need to do is submit your article to a few quality article directories such as ezinearticles.com. Then look for some of the more popular Websites in your "niche" and request submission to their site. This is as simple as sending an email to the Webmaster. Lastly, look for a few high distribution Ezines and newsletters in your niche. Just do a Google search for your keyword + ezine ie. "Dog training ezine."
3. Rinse and repeat: Now keep writing and submitting articles as often as possible. The more articles you have out there the more free visitors you will have visiting your Website.
