Armpit Sweat Causes
What are the causes of armpit sweating.
You can either experience normal armpit sweating or profuse armpit sweating. The first is your body’s way of regulating the temperature inside your body. Your body produces normal amounts of sweat to cool down. However, if you are sweating excessively you may have a symptom referred to as hyperhidrosis, which is an abnormal condition in your body.
Regular armpit sweat, which is a natural process, should not be a cause of too much worry or alarm. Sweat is normally a result of the following reasons:
Heat. Imagine yourself in the middle of a desert at 12 noon, wearing a ski suit and eating a scalding soup. Wouldn’t your armpit produce sweat? Not just armpit sweat but also sweat in every inch of your body. You tend to sweat in very hot places because it makes your body cooler. This is to avoid excessive heat and maintain temperature inside your body.
Armpit sweat is also caused by emotions such as stress, embarrassment, nervousness, and anxiety. Though most of the time these are not the main factors why people sweat, they are some of the factors which makes it worse.
For those who suffer from excessive armpit sweat, here are some the possible causes of the problem:
There must be something wrong with your nervous system. Sympathetic nervous system is the one responsible for all of these.
Your sweat glands are working over time. It may mean you are consuming the wrong types of food.
Excessive body weight or medical conditions and drugs. In this case you should ask your doctor’s advice regarding these issues.
It is in your genes—and there is nothing you can do about it.
Avoid foods and products that can make you sweat a lot such as alcohol, cigarettes, caffeine, etc.
