Are You Doing Paid Surveys and Getting Paid For Your Opinion Yet?

Discusses how you can make money from taking online surveys.
Wouldn’t it be great if you actually were doing paid surveys and getting paid for your opinion? You could be, you know. If you knew where to look for them, there are companies who value your opinions enough to pay you for them. Who are these companies and why would they do that? Good question.

The companies who are offering paid surveys and getting paid for your opinion are market research companies. They are hired by all kinds of other companies to tell them what people like you think. For example, have you ever seen a television commercial that said something like "8 out of 10 people preferred XYZ toothpaste over QRS toothpaste"? Those ten people were surveyed by a market research company, who then passed the information along to the XYZ toothpaste company. Because the research turned out in XYZ’s favor, they were able to use the information to advertise their toothpaste to you.

The market research companies are well aware that people don’t generally do something for nothing, so they are willing to pay them for their completed surveys and honest opinions about things. You can be sure that they aren’t losing any money by doing so. Companies pay big money for market research.

Now the payments aren’t always in cash, although many times they are. You could be doing paid surveys and getting paid for your opinion about toothpaste in toothpaste. Are you confused? Sometimes the researchers pay you in products that they want you to sample. If you did the XYZ and QRS survey, you might have received a large tube of each toothpaste. They would be unmarked, but most likely very well known brands that you would probably buy at the store anyway. You would be asked to use XYZ toothpaste for a week and then QRS toothpaste for another week, and then report back to the research company what you thought about them by filling out a survey questionnaire.

Some other research companies pay you in points every time you complete a survey. While this doesn’t seem to be as good as cash, sometimes its better. You can redeem the points for merchandise when you build them up. Not cheap merchandise like percent off coupons, but real stuff that you would probably buy anyway. So you’re saving the money you would spend on the merchandise, it’s just like getting paid in cash. The more points you build up, the nicer the merchandise gets that you can redeem them for, too.

Many of the companies do pay cash for completed surveys, too. You can earn anywhere from $1 to $10 or more for each survey you complete. It doesn’t sound like much but it can build up fairly quickly if you qualify for several surveys each week.

So, if you aren’t doing paid surveys and getting paid for your opinion, then you’re just giving your valuable opinions away for free. But now that you know who these companies really are, and how it works, you don’t have to give your opinions away for free anymore. Sign up and start getting paid for them.
