Are We Heading to a Depression ?
We hear financial pundits bantering around the R word - recession. However are they just plain scared to mention the D word - depression ?
Well I'm not!
I think that every thing that I predicted about the Realty Meltdown in previous articles has come true! Would you not agree that I talked about the overheated real estate market long before they began to talk about it on TV news.
Hey, it did not take a "crystal ball" to predict that one ! Just a few lessons in Econ 101 at Florida State University in the early 1970s.
Let's look at what's happening. More than a million more foreclosures are looming on the horizon in the USA alone. Then we have the banks that have been hurt by the foreclosures. Then we have all those other financial institutions world wide that have been hurt by the games they decided to play. Tough ! I have no sympathy for those greedy folks along with their brethren from the hedge funds !
I do have some sympathy for homeowners that were hoodwinked by the user car salesman language of people in the mortgage industry and I think those jerks should go to jail !
However those greedy homeowners that decided to get in the heated real estate market to make a killing fully knowing that they could be screwed I have no sympathy for.
Does it take a rocket scientist to figure out that in the majority of the cases the values for the homes were just not even in the ball park of sanity ? Go figure!
So now you have people that are foreclosed on. You have people that are losing their jobs in the financial related industries along with those in home related industries. You have people that use to shop at Coach now sneaking into Wall-Mart. You have people that instead of redeeming their Holiday gift cards for cool electronics are using them for staples like food, basic clothing items (can we say underwear and socks?), and gasoline for the car.
Hey if you think that you have seen the highest prices for gas, then think again ! They are predicting $3.75 - $4.00 by mid April. However we all know in places like Atlanta that will be the LAST thing people cut back on.
Well I have decided to help people get out of their predicaments and you can learn more at the sites below. One has to do with selling unsold homes. And another will be talking about something that I swore I would never talk about - the lottery. If you must play the lottery then for goodness sakes look at this site. I still think it is a foolish way to get money but that's my opinion!
So add up all the things mentioned above and you have all the makings of the D-word - Depression!
