Archbishop Commits Perjury; Denies Fathering Child
A paternity test has proven that an 80 year old Atlanta Archbishop committed a biblical sin and is really his nephew’s father.

Parishioners of the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit at Chapel Hill harvester Church have just received a shocking blow. Archbishop Earl Paulk has been revealed as the father of a child thought to be his nephew. Unfortunately for the charismatic church this is not the first, or even the second, major sex scandal involving the Archbishop.
Paulk’s family stood before the church congregation and revealed the results of a court ordered paternity test. The test showed that Paulk had fathered a child by his brother’s wife. If the sin wasn’t enough to cast out the Archbishop, perjury may do the trick. Paulk blatantly lied under oath about his involvement with his sister-in-law Clariece.
The proof of the affair lies in the existence of D.E. Paulk, formerly believed to be the Archbishop’s nephew. The 34 year old Paulk received the mantle of head pastor of the church 18 months ago.
"I am so very sorry for the collateral damage it's caused our family and the families hurt by the removing of the veil that hid our humanity and our sinfulness," said D.E. Paulk.
D.E. Paulk said he did not learn the secret of his true father until he received the results of the paternity test. "I was disappointed, and I was surprised," he said.
The paternity test came about when the Cobb County district attorney's office and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation requested that a court order be issued in regards to the elder Paulk. The government agencies are investigating Earl Paulk for possible perjury and false-swearing charges stemming from a lawsuit involving a church employee.
The Archbishop, his brother, Don, and the Cathedral are being sued by Monica Brewer, a former church employee. Brewer alleges that Earl Paulk coerced her into an affair from 1989 to 2003 by telling her it was her only path to salvation. Earl Paulk confessed to the affair in front of the congregation last January.
In a 2006 deposition, the archbishop stated under oath that the only woman he had ever had sex with outside his marriage was Brewer. The paternity test proved otherwise.
So far no charges have been filed against Archbishop Paulk. District Attorney Pat Head and GBI spokesman John Bankhead refused to comment.
D.E. Paulk said that the shocking results of the paternity test are yet another reason to expedite a transformation already under way in the church after more than a decade of sex scandals and lawsuits involving the Paulks.
"It was a necessary evil to bring us back to a God-consciousness," said Head Pastor Paulk, explaining that the church had become egocentric and prone to pastor worship.
Earl, Don and Clariece Paulk have declined to comment on the scandal.
