Apple Fruit Salad
Apple fruit salad is a great accompaniment to a holiday dinner, a potluck with friends and family, or a family gathering. There are many easy ways of making it, with different types of dressings. In this article let's see how to make it...

Apple Fruit Salad Recipes
I have always been very fond of fruits. Since the past few months, apples seem to have become my most loved fruit. However, eating apple slices everyday just caught onto me and I got bored of them. That was the time I decided to hunt for some fruit salad recipes with apples, so that I would be able to enjoy my favorite fruit once again. After some research, I found these recipes that suited my taste buds the most.
Banana-Grapes-Apple
This is a healthy, low fat treat, which you can enjoy at any time of the day.
Ingredients
- Golden Apple 1
- Red Apple 1
- Banana 1
- Seedless Red Grapes 15 to 20
- Plain Nonfat Yogurt ¼ cup
- Orange Juice 1 tablespoon
- Cinnamon ¼ teaspoon
Core, peel and slice both golden and red apples. Peel and slice the banana as well. In a bowl mix all the fruits together. In a separate bowl combine yogurt, orange juice and cinnamon and drizzle the dressing on the fruits, before they are served.
Cranberry Apple
Cranberry and apples together is something I am personally very fond of. I hope you also take a liking to it.
Ingredients
- Cranberries 1 package
- Red Apples 3
- Green Grapes 1 cup
- Whipping Cream 1 pint
- Miniature Marshmallows 1 cup
- Sugar 1 cup
- Pecans (chopped) ½ cup
Half the grapes, roughly chop the berries in a blender and dice the un-peeled apples. In a large bowl, combine chopped berries, diced apples and sugar. Cover and place the bowl in the refrigerator for about 2 to 3 hours. Remove the liquid which accumulates in the bowl and add whipped cream, marshmallows, halved grapes and pecans and serve cold.
Caramel Apple
Fruit salad with caramel makes for an excellent dessert, if you have guests visiting or for potlucks. This is one of the recipes with which you can make caramel apple fruit salad. If you are in a hurry, you can also make it using butterscotch pudding mix to get the caramel taste. Miniature marshmallows can also be added to the recipe, if you are fond of them. It is recommended you roast the peanuts a little before you add them to the fruit salad, for the crunchy and caramel taste.
Ingredients
- Crushed Pineapple with Juice 8 oz
- Egg 1
- All-Purpose Flour 2 tablespoons
- Apple Cider Vinegar 2 tablespoons
- Apples 4
- Sugar ½ cup
- Peanuts (chopped) 1¾ cups
- Non Dairy Whipped Cream 8 oz
In a saucepan, mix pineapple, beaten egg, all-purpose flour, apple cider vinegar and sugar together over medium heat. Continue to stir till pudding like thickness is reached. Remove from the saucepan and place it in the refrigerator to cool. Peel and slice the apples and mix them with the pudding. Add 1¼ cup peanuts and whipped cream to it and stir well. Garnish the fruit salad with remaining peanuts and refrigerate for 3 to 4 hours before serving.
I also like adding other fruits to fruit salad. If you like the sour taste, you can also add oranges and sweet limes, but the quantity of these fruits should be much less as compared to apples.
