Anyone But You: Part 2 The Mistake
Would you risk your relationship with your best friend/ sister all for one guy? Sound bad? The worst part is he's your sisters boyfriend.
It was around 11 pm. when my sister decided to go to bed. Kyle and I both decided to stay up a little bit later to finish the television show we were watching. In my head I already thought it was a bad idea and a little bit too risky to be alone with him. But nothing would prepare any of us for what about to happen.
We were in the middle of watching "The Secret Life of the American Teenager"and on TV Adrian and Ricky were having an intense make out session. When I lost control. I slowly inched myself closer and closer to kyle.
And I could tell that he knew what I was doing. But surprisingly he didn't move. We were about a foot away now and I could tell he noticed me approaching him.
"So kyle when did you and Courtney start dating?"
"Uhm about a month ago, may two. I don't know I can't really remember"
"Oh wow! So it hasn't been long at all?"
"Yeah I guess it hasn't. It's probably because we just been friends for so long it feels like I known her my entire life."
"Oh really you guys were friends for a while? That's weird she never talked of you before this"
"Well I known Courtney since maybe 10th grade, we met when she used to work at Steve's Diner.
She really mentioned me before?"
"No never. I wouldn't lie"I flip my hair and give him a wink
"You know your really cute Kyle"I say flirtatiously
"Oh thanks"
"And..."
"And what?" He says sounding confused
"And don't you think I'm cute?"
Inside I knew what I was getting into. I knew the damage it would cause if Courtney found out but at that moment, I didn't care. I liked Kyle, and I wanted him.
"Oh, yeah sure you are"He says sounding unsure
"Well that doesn't sound so convincing"I say trying to look and sound sad
I slowly move my hand closer to his then I grab it and were holding hands. It feels awesome, but then he pulls away from me. Then he turns and stares me directly in the eyes.
"Look Ashley I think your cute, I really do. But hey I'm dating your sister and I really like her and I don't know what your trying to do. But your all she talked about up at school. She loves you... a lot. I have no idea why you would ever wanna ruin that relationship with her"
"I love her too Kyle, and that's why I'm doing this for her. I can tell you guys aren't right for each other. Cause you know why?"
"Don't tell me I'm not good enough for her"
"Of course you are, and that's not the reason why"
"Okay then what is?"
"Because I'm right for you"
After that neither of us say anything. We sit there for maybe 30 seconds before he gets up and tries to leave. But I won't have that. I jump up right after and grab him by the arm. Then comes my mistake. I kiss him. And after a while he gives into it and starts kissing me too.
