Procedure

The piercing should be cleaned everyday with a solution made with a mixture of warm water and sea salt. This should be done at least twice in a day. Exposing the piercing to hot compresses is also necessary to prevent the occurrence of any kind of infection on the pierced area. One should avoid touching or moving the piercing with one's hands as this can cause scars. If one experiences any kind of pain or infection on the pierced area, it is necessary to consult the doctor or the piercer immediately.

Though this piercing is said to be a long-lasting one, there are chances of rejection, if proper care is not taken.
