Anti Drug Program Leader Arrested in Sting

In a bizarre case, an anti-drug program leader is arrested for trying to sell narcotics
Kendall Craig Farris, the founder of the Over the Wall Foundation in Los Angeles County (Marina del Ray to be exact) was arrested in an undercover drug sting.

Farris, who has a website filled with influential endorsements for his drug prevention program, was arrested in a drug sting when he met an undercover Redondo Beach police officer at a Starbucks coffee shop located somewhere in the nearby southern Californian town of El Segundo.

All in all, the police in question setup the narcotics purchase where the said suspect arrived in a taxicab and the undercover officer gave Farris an envelope containing 480 dollars in exchange for methamphetamine and ecstasy pills. According to the authorities, the narcotics that he sold them were in fact fake and Farris was arrested at approximately 3:40 p.m.

For his part, the forty-seven year old Farris was arraigned on criminal charges of selling a substance, which he allegedly sold as drugs and is being held in on $106,500 bail. It is not clear at this time what his defense will be or whether he will plead guilty or not-guilty in the upcoming trail.

Farris was the founder of the Over the Wall Foundation in Marina del Ray, Los Angeles as well as the author of the book 'Drugs, Kids and Crime: Surviving Our Drug Obsessed Culture' in the past he has stated on his website that it is his duty to help out troubled youths. The self admitted recovering alcoholic and addict states his foundation is set up to help youths, schools and families avoid drug and alcohol abuse before it begins and to intervene in cases where it has already started. It must be a strange situation for him to suddenly require a Los Angeles criminal defense attorney for the activities he so staunchly opposed in the past.
