Another Valentine’s Day

Do you have a Valentine?
Another Valentine’s Day
It was Valentine’s Day
And I had a lot to say
About the where’s and why’s
And the reason for my sighs.

It was another February 14th
For some just a day as any other
For me who longed for hearts and flowers
It was the be all and end all of my life.

Why is Valentine’s Day
So very important to be
A day to wish for
And a day to sigh for.

If it were any other day
If the shops where not
Full of hearts and flowers
I could look the other way.

But here it was
With Cupid aiming his bow and arrow
With hearts beating faster
And longing the more painful.

Then my Valentine
Gave to me
His heart so fine
A kiss and red roses
With wine.

Then Valentine’s Day was just fine
As long as he’s forever mine.
