Another Season
Another season, another reason for sadness or joy...
The summer has past
I knew it wouldn’t last
That much was true
And I felt so sad and blue.
The falling leaves from the trees
Blowing in the cold breeze
Told me that another
Winter was on the way.
As I turned to go
I looked all round
At the ground that was now muddy
And the gray sky above.
The trees that would soon be bare
And the fall leaves bunched at my feet.
Such a sad time
Knowing that the spring is far off yet
And soon the snow would fly
Landing on the tall trees
Standing by.
However once the snow
Covers everything in a blanket of white
It will be a lovely sight
The evergreens looking majestic
And it will be a winter wonderland
To behold.
I knew it wouldn’t last
That much was true
And I felt so sad and blue.
The falling leaves from the trees
Blowing in the cold breeze
Told me that another
Winter was on the way.
As I turned to go
I looked all round
At the ground that was now muddy
And the gray sky above.
The trees that would soon be bare
And the fall leaves bunched at my feet.
Such a sad time
Knowing that the spring is far off yet
And soon the snow would fly
Landing on the tall trees
Standing by.
However once the snow
Covers everything in a blanket of white
It will be a lovely sight
The evergreens looking majestic
And it will be a winter wonderland
To behold.
