Another First from LG - The New Puccini

LG Electronics, a South Korean mobile phone leader has come out with the new LG500 to succeed its hugely popular and successful LG KP500 "Cookie." Dubbed "Puccini" for marketing purposes, the new mobile phone carries on the tradition of incorporating leading-edge technology with features that have become a staple commodity for flagship handsets in its class.
Aimed at the mid-markets for touch screens, the Puccini looks headed for another hit product for LG.

The UK is the first country to have the Puccini hit the shelves. But it comes exclusive to T-Mobile networks so its subscribers are lucky with this as an option for their handset needs. It may be offered free with a £25 monthly subscription plan.

The Form

Sporting a touchscreen form factor, the Puccini is strikingly stylish as any coming from LG and its rivals from Samsung and Sony Ericsson. While nothing radically new comes with its looks, nor anything spectacular when set besides other touchscreen phones in its class, the Puccini’s black gloss body impresses with a large brilliant 3" screen that sets it apart from similar large screen formats from bland business smartphones like the O2.

Great features:

Leading edge features is the hallmark of LG phones recently introduced in its markets. With proprietary LG software enhancing most features found in other touchscreen mobiles in its class, the Puccini comes off as a standout from the new touchscreen releases with the following:

-The Puccini is a quad-band GSM with 3G and HSDPA support, making internet access a real breeze;
-It carries a touchscreen 3-inch display with a 400 x 240 pixel resolution, supporting 256k colors for a really brilliant display even in broad daylight;
-It provides in-car GPS navigation with a pre-installed LG WisePilot navigation system, ( license is free one month after purchase)[
-It has the S-class user interface for touch screens launched for the first time
-It comes bundled with the LG Arena for Dolby 2.0 processing of music files;
-It offers Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP and Wi-Fi capabilities that enable fast data transfers with desktop and laptop PCs;
-Its 5-megapixel camera with Auto Focus and LED flash comes with image stabilization and face recognition as well as geo tagging and red-eye reduction.
-Its video tops out at VGA resolution and at 15fps
-It’s internal memory is an ample 130mb with microSD expansion up to 8Gb

The LG Puccini may not win awards for the most beautiful or capable mobile phone out there, but its design and feature set assures LG markets a very capable and stylish handset and another winner for LG. GP
