Anne's Powers - Chapter 28
The second last chapter, the most interesting one!
Anne’s mother laid on the ground, her gaze fixed upon Anne. Her mother could not speak anymore but she sensalked Anne, "Anne dear! This isn’t the end."
"I know mom," Anne replied, "Mom, I'm sorry!"
"To tell you the truth you don’t have to be, because I'm really proud of you… you’re a real fairy believe… me."
Her mom couldn’t sensalk anymore. Anne saw her mother struggling with each breath she took.
Anne remembered all the lovely moments she spent with her mother, from being a little girl till the day she discovered that she was a fairy and everything changed… and now she was seeing her mother dying in front of her and knowing that this could be the end of all those lovely moments that she has spent with her mother… this could be the end of her life. Then Anne looked at the dark fairy who was laughing haughtily… And Anne knew that this could be the end of the human race as well.
"No…" Anne said.
The dark fairy's smile faded away and she looked down at Anne.
"I must say," the dark fairy told Anne, "I haven’t seen such a thick-skinned girl like you ever in my entire lifetime, and hope I’ll never see such a girl ever again… you know it’s like seeing an insect being all smashed up but he still tries to crawl back to his feet even though he knows that there are no limbs left to walk again! Funny, isn’t it." The dark fairy raised an eyebrow at Anne.
Anne looked away and let out a deep breath. Anne’s hands were freezing in the snow, her limbs were already frozen. There were crystals of ice on her eyelids and it was getting more difficult for her to breathe.
The dark fairy was standing on the snow desert and looking up at the sky. The joy of victory was very much clear in her eyes. Then she started the declaration of her victory.
"I, the queen of all the dark fairies in the world hereby, declare my victory over all the so-called good fairies of the world and declare myself the ruler of this world and the end of the human race… all you humans over there, start counting your last moments and if possible do make your last wishes come true."
Then she let out a loud laughter. Which echoed all around the universe - all humans on the earth heard what she said and so did the fairies in the fairy university.

Back in the university, there was a moment of silence. Everybody was stunned. The headmistress sat on her desk, speechless.
"I just can’t believe it… Anne’s a strong girl… we cannot lose." Said Miss. Ruby.
"But we have to… unfortunately we have to!" Said the headmistress in a very low voice just as if she was whispering… just as she was afraid to say so… just as she didn’t want to believe what was going to happen.

Down on the earth the innocent human race was scared of death. The whole earth was covered with a dark cloud. Everyone was stuck on to their loved ones and crying and praying to god that they wanted to live a little more.
The mother of a newborn baby looked at her child and prayed that the beginning of his life may not be the end.
The person who had always wished to be a doctor and just when his dream was coming true, he prayed that his dream doesn’t get broken.
Everyone who was making some kind of a start in their lives were praying that their lives don’t end here.

The dark fairy stood straight and took a deep breath of pleasure. She suddenly got an idea and cast a spell which brought the headmistress and the teachers of the fairy university into desert, caged in the same kind of ice cuboid where Anne’s grandmother was caged.
There was a feeling of terror in everybody’s eyes when they saw Anne lying on the ground trying to breathe and putting a little life in her marbled body. They also saw her mother lying dead on the ground.
"I thought that it won’t be fair on you not to see your dear Violetta who was according to you, born to destroy Me… counting her last breath." Said the dark fairy.
Her back was towards Anne’s when she suddenly heard her call out "Hey you!" Anne said as loudly as she could even though her voice was shivering.
The dark fairy turned towards her, but this time all her smile faded when she looked at Anne… there was fire in Anne’s eyes that was very clear. Anne lifted her body up and stumbled a bit, but the next moment she was standing straight.
"Thank you…cuz for a moment I forgot who I am… and what I am born for. Thank you… thank you for reminding me that I… I am Violetta."
Suddenly a strong wind blew and the dark fairy looked straight at Anne and so did everyone. Anne’s eyes turned violet in color and she let her arms wide open… sneaking out of the cold desert land making cracks on the ground were violet flowers and all those violet creepers seemed to hug Anne’s body and her body was illuminated. The dark fairy realized in an instant what was happening… her face turned to pale. She turned towards the cage and said, "Bu… but her train... ining isn’t com... plete… how..?"
"Violetta my dear… she was born to make history… and to change history too!" Said the headmistress. A ray of hope rose in everyone’s heart.
The dark fairy turned towards Anne and saw that she had attained her full avatar. Her facial expressions were set in a total composure, but her eyes showed the dark fairy her… END.
"You cannot kill me… my victory has been declared... this isn’t fair." The dark fairy said and gulped down a lump that had formed in her throat.
"Everything’s fair between fairies… remember that… cuz if we’ve seen fairness then you would not have been the way you are today… you cheated the fairies… your family and turned your life in a shade of gray… and there’s no place for this color in my rainbow world. So I guess this isn’t as unfair as you think… tit for tat!" Anne smirked.
The dark fairy panicked and said a spell, "Gloria!"
A fireball went straight at Anne.
"So aren’t you behaving like that insect now." Said Anne. "Let’s not waste anymore time." Anne closed her eyes and with all her power cast the most strongest spell "Violetta Floricis Catolia!" A beam of light aimed straight towards the dark fairy and her whole body was reduced to ash and her dark soul rose up in the air and vanished.
Anne’s avatar disappeared and she fell on to the ground in her human form. The ice cage broke down and all the fairies were free.
