Anna Nicole Smith’s Baby Daddy Revealed

The results of the paternity test were revealed on Tuesday afternoon. Birkhead, Smith’s ex-boyfriend, has long maintained that he is the father of 7-month old Dannielynn Hope. He told reporters outside the Bahama courthouse Tuesday, "I hate to be the one who told you this, but: I told you so. I’m the father." He went on to say, "Thank you for your support. Thank you for the people that got me this far. Thank you very much. My baby’s gonna be coming home pretty soon."

Birkhead and Smith date for a while in 2005 and she announced her pregnancy in June 2006. Birkhead said at the time that he was told he was the father and then was abruptly shunned. Dannielynn was born September 7, 2006 in a hospital in Nassau, Bahamas. Smith’s lawyer and friend, Howard K. Stern, was listed as the father on the birth certificate. Birkhead fought back and has always stated that he was the father of the baby He also stated he was going to file a lawsuit to challenge the baby’s paternity. Just three days after Dannielynn Hope made her debut, Smith’s son Daniel, 20, passed away in his mother’s hospital room. It was eventually revealed that Daniel died of a lethal combination of prescription drugs.

Smith sank into her own depression and married Stern in a commitment ceremony only three weeks after Daniel passed away. Smith passed away on February 8, 2007 from an "accidental drug overdose." Stern, Birkhead, and Smith’s estranged mother Virgie Arthur have been battling it out in court ever since. Everyone wants a piece of this baby who stands to inherit hundreds of millions of dollars from the estate of Smith’s late husband J. Howard Marshall II. The Texas oil tycoon passed away in 1995 a mere 14-months after marrying Smith.
