Angelina Jolie Shrinking Out of Grief

Jolie’s brother, James Haven, said that his sister is so despondent over her mother’s death that she refuses to eat and has wasted away to a mere 109 pounds. Jolie and Haven’s mother, Marcheline Bertrand, lost her battle with cancer at the age of 56 in January. Now Haven said he is worried about his superstar sister. Haven said, "Angie has become very thin because she’s grieving. It’s even difficult for her to eat. I keep saying to her, ‘Don’t forget to eat.’"

Haven goes on to say, "But you know she doesn’t pay much attention to food anyway and she’s been going through a process of grief like me. She has not wanted to eat, nor has she been able to." Haven, Jolie and Bertrand reportedly became very close after Bertrand and Jon Voight (Jolie and Haven’s father) divorced in 1976. Jolie has been estranged from her father for years and they do not have a relationship. Haven has similar feelings.

Haven reportedly dissed Voight for not expressing his sympathy over Bertrand’s passing. Have reportedly remarked sarcastically, "My dad left a voicemail message that was very kind, wishing condolences to me and my sister. That was what he did. AT some point I’ve got to be able to let my bitterness and anger towards him go and I’m working on that now." In happier news, Jolie and her partner Brad Pitt recently adopted their fourth child, a three-year old boy named Pax, from Vietnam. The couple has a 5-year old son, Maddox, who was adopted from Cambodia. Two-year old daughter Zahara was adopted from Zimbabwe and the couple had a daughter, Shiloh, last May.
