Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt Officially Adopt Pax

Jolie’s rep confirmed that a Los Angeles County Children’s Court judge approved the adoption of Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt Wednesday. Jolie, Pitt, and the rest of their brood reportedly celebrated the adoption at the courthouse in Monterey Park. Jolie adopted Pax from a Vietnam orphanage in March of last year. She said in an interview at the time, "You can imagine what courage it takes to be in all new surroundings, with new people and a new language. He is very strong."

The adoption process was two fold. His adoption had to first be approved in his birthplace of Vietnam. Then it had to be approved by a Los Angeles judge. Pax also has three other siblings. Jolie adopted son Maddox from Cambodia in March 2002. She also adopted a daughter, Zahara, from Ethiopia in July 2005. Jolie gave birth to her first biological daughter with Pitt in May 2006. They named her Shiloh.

Both Jolie and Pitt have been very vocal about the fact that they want to have more children. Just recently it was reported that Jolie is expecting the couple’s second child. Neither Jolie nor Pitt has confirmed the pregnancy, but it has been rumored that she plans to sell the announcement to the press and then donate the proceeds to charity. The couple met on the set of their hit film Mr. and Mrs. Smith in 2005. He was married to actress Jennifer Aniston at the time and Jolie was accused of being the other woman and of breaking up the couple’s marriage. She has denied that anything happened between the two of them romantically before he was separated from Aniston.
