Jolie is expected to pick up the newest addition to her family as early as tonight and will attend an adoption ceremony on Thursday morning in Ho Chi Minh City with Vietnamese officials. She will then meet with the U.S. consular of officials who will review the adoption before a passport can be issued for the 3-year old boy. It looks as if Jolie could bring the boy home by this weekend if all goes well. Jolie has filed for adoption as a single person because Vietnamese law makes it difficult for unmarried couples to adopt. Vu Duc Long, Head of the Bureau of International Adopted Children, did admit that the adoption is being processed quicker than normal because "a celebrated person is certainly treated a little bit different from others."

The boy whom Jolie is to adopt was reportedly abandoned at a hospital as an infant and has been living at the Tam Binh orphanage. The staff was unsuccessful in trying to locate the boy’s parents. He is reportedly a very happy and healthy little boy, but a little on the shy side. It has been reported that the boy loves to play soccer and gets along well with the other children, which is a good thing because he is coming into a house full of children.

Jolie and her partner, Brad Pitt, have three children already and have been very vocal about their desire to add to their brood. They are parents to 5-year old Maddox who was adopted from Cambodia; 2-year old Zahara who was adopted from Ethiopia; and the couple has a 10-month old biological daughter, Shiloh.
