From birth,
She could die.
At any moment,
Fade from my sight.

The only problem
Is that to her
I am more
Like a brother

To me
She is like
The angel
Of my dreams

At 12 she came
Into my life
Like the sweetest dream
I never thought true

But now I find out
That the girl who is
The angel of my dreams
could die at any moment

So I tell her
That I like her
But once again like every girl
She turns me down in the sweet way I love so much

So now all I can do
Is sit and watch
Her grow as old as the disease
That could claim her from me

It is sad
Knowing I will never
Have a chance
To be anything more than a brother to her

So I will follow her
Like a protective shadow
Whose only salvation
Is his pills and a crimson razor

Saving her from DEATH'S grips
For as long as possible
And keep her safe
Safe by my side

So I will pray
To sit and watch her age
And hope
To be with her someday

I was there
Right by her side
The second she died
And saw DEATH take her

I watched her
Become the angel
I have always
Known her to be.
