She was my friend,

She was my earth,

She was there when I was stuck in the dirt,

This pain I’ve felt for a very long time,

Hurts so bad like I’ve been stabbed by a knife,

We were best friends till the end,

I made her a promise that I’d never let go,

I never thought she'd ever go,

The disease kept raging making it worse,

I cried because I knew it hurt,

I gave her my heart,

I gave her my soul,

To keep her alive was my only goal,

Every time I hear our song I try so hard to sing along,

The days went by,

And I started to cry,

Because now she's high up in the sky,

When it rains I can feel her pain,

And I wish she would return again,

I never thought she would ever leave,

I never thought it would ever be,

I've kept my promise and I’ll never break it,

But deep inside my heart just can't take it,
